Nice River Rahm

  • Police are investigating after the marine unit discovered a body part in the Chicago River on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The marine unit responded to the 2200 block of West Diversey Avenue in the Avondale neighborhood on the North Side just after 3 p.m., said [...], a police spokesman.

Police will send the remains to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine whether it is human.
Hopefully, it wasn't anyone important...like another Olympic investor.

I wouldn’t do that job if you paid me double! A friend of mine needed help moving his boat into the river at the beginning of the season, and all I could say is I have never seen any thing more vile in my life! The water literally had used condoms floating around and used tampons and maxi pads. I darn near throw up my old style. Kudos them, like I said they can have it.

A dredging of that particular stretch of the river might produce some interesting, though mostly historical, objects......given the proximity to a certain past conclave of dwellings......

Would love to see river drained. Bet there are lots of bodies at bottom with the cement overshoes on. Convenient dumping place.

Hold the presses
It turned out to be a beef tongue. Actually the tongue itself told the marine unit what it was but they insisted on a second opinion by the M E

But the city is safe Memorial Day weekend:
Police to announced deployment of 1,000 extra officers for Memorial Day weekend

https://chicago.suntimes.com/news/police-to-announced-deployment-of-1000-extra-officers-for-memorial-day-weekend/

Extra officers will be deployed on foot and on traffic initiatives downtown and through major thoroughfares, while bike patrols will focus on city parks and the lakefront. The department’s Summer Mobile Team will also launch this weekend, deploying more than 100 officers to neighborhood patrols, according to Chicago Police Chief Communications Officer Anthony Guglielmi.

Superintendent Eddie Johnson will announce the initiative with Chicago Fire Commissioner Jose Santiago, Illinois State Police Director Leo Schmitz, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, United States Attorney John Lausch and the Chicago heads ot the Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The announcement will take place at 11 a.m. at CPD headquarters, 3510 South Michigan Avenue.

* all the “I’m important” people will be there, they should be asked “what have you done to stop the carnage” as the root will go silent, and in memory of Jody weis you will hear “thank you gotta run,” wow 100 coppers in summer mobile googleme says, and the checkers are moved to this side of the board!

The marine unit didn’t “discover” anything. They were notified and responded.

I close my eyes and imagine the entire river filled with the bloated bodies of politicians who took their own lives. That's how you make America great again.
