I-Bonded to Kill

Once again, it's the system that's broken, not the cops:
  • When Daryl Williams stepped in front of Cook County Judge Stephanie Miller on Wednesday, it wasn’t the first time the two had seen each other. Back in November, Miller—a champion of the county’s “affordable bail” movement—let Williams go free on a recognizance bond after he was charged with possessing a stolen handgun on the South Side.

While free awaiting trial on the handgun charge, Williams obtained another gun and fatally shot a man in the back of the head, police say. Arrested this week, Williams just happened to find himself in front of Judge Miller again.
So...double secret probation this time?

The Crime in Wrigleyville and Boystown blog outlines exactly what charges this repeat felon was facing and exactly how he was granted a free pass - a recognizance bond - which didn't restricted him at all from acquiring an additional gun and killing someone.

They also point out that no media outlet dared to report that he was out on an I-bond when he committed murder. No one except them.

In Cook County when a defendant fails to appear (BF or BFW) and is on probation or parole, the judge nevers takes the money if the defendant has put up a cash bond. The judge also never sends them back to prison for violating the bond. If they have to cover they send them to county for a week and all is forgotten.

This is the second time that she has been appointed to the bench. She lost the primary election on March 20th 2018, to maintain her presence on the bench. Apparently the current judges were told to appoint her for a second time so that she could remain as an Associate Judge. It does not matter that the people have spoken and they made it clear that Ms. Miller was not their choice to serve on the Cook County Circuit Court.
Unfortunately the political machine in Cook County has imposed its will upon the people and allowed Ms. Miller to continue on with these types of decisions which endanger all of our safety.

Whenever a private sector employee refuses to perform the job they were hired to do, they are fired.

Whenever a member of the armed forces refused lawful orders they are reprimanded, sometimes placed on bread and water for three days, placed in the brig or stockade and even discharged from the service.

Whenever police fail to do their jobs the feds, media, IAD, IG, and COPA investigate like sharks circling their prey, chomping away at your reputation, life savings, family, future, job and freedom until you have nothing left, just a destroyed person in every sense of the word.

Whenever a judge fails to do their job they’re lauded as a social justice warrior, never fearing so much as a second thought as to why they’re derelict in their duties.

I would say “feds, media, ARDC, Supreme Court, please do something,” but we all know this is a corrupt and broken system. Obama has done exactly what he promised he would do; “fundamentally change America.”

You can't sue the judge in civil court, but she her for a federal civil rights violation. She violated the murder victim's rights by allowing a career criminal who by law should have been given a high bond,to walk free and commit murder. It's time for these useless judges, prickwrinkle and fox to pay for their racist and inept handling of the criminal justice system.

Gee, and they wonder what the problem is! How many times can we catch someone before they get away with a crime or two.

hold on wasn't Miller just in the news in the last month or two? SOme guy drove by her house and threatened her or threw rocks at her window when she was putting up campaign signs or something? Then the guy gets arrested and bond is denied? Is that the same Miller?

5/27/2018 10:53:00 AM

He threw a snowball and it broke the window. He was denied bond, but is out now. Truth is, the guys is nuts and women who live by him avoid him.

How about posting her information like they do for a PO . . . . . Where she lives. Her social media info. If married and children, where her husband works and where the kids go to school. Good enough for the police is should be good for the judiciary. Now when do these dirt bags come up for retention ? ? ?

5/27/2018 01:43:00 PM

She lives in 014 with her WIFE and children. And boy did her wife go after anyone who criticized her her on the neighborhood FB Watch pages.

The “affordable bail” movement and “sanctuary city” status are democrats in self-preservation mode. Democrats have to save their voter base. You can’t vote if you’re in jail. Just another nail in the coffin of this once great city. Cook County has become unlivable and is a stain on the entire state of Illinois.

5/27/2018 05:55:00 AM

Just have to make the jail an early voting site. They register people to vote there, why not let them vote there? All they need is a city I D and they can do it......

So, he's "nuts", is he?

And "women" who "live by him" avoid him?

Let's see:

Women avoid him = lucky guy

Women avoid him because he's nuts = clever as a fox

Conclusion: advice begging to be given to commenter - learn from this man.

Judges need to be held accountable for their decisions, just like with every job workers are held accountable . Immediate dismissal, desk duty and an investigation

Read you can’t sue a judge for action they took in their official capacity. Setting bond is done in their official capacity

Judges are typically immune from a lawsuit. You cannot sue judges for actions they took in their official capacity. For example, a judge who decides a case against you cannot be sued

No they don’t. It’s a unique job. If they were held responsible any judge would be an idiot not to hold every arrestee with no bond. Why would you set a bond and let the guy out if you could get fired if he goes out and commits a crime.
