Parking Scandal Again?

  • A high-ranking Chicago Police officer and a lieutenant working under that deputy chief were accused Monday of providing a “preferential treatment scheme to reserve and provide free-parking at the United Center” for off-duty cops, their family and friends.

Last year, Inspector General Joe Ferguson unmasked a similar preferential parking scheme at Bulls and Blackhawks games executed by eight supervisors and traffic control aides working at the city’s 911 emergency center.

The new scheme accuses a deputy chief and a lieutenant, neither of whom were identified by name, of engaging in and supervising a similar system of playing parking favorites.
Well, there are only eighteen Deputy Chiefs and the stadiums fall under the purview of only two or three of them, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which politically connected asshole figured they were above the rules again, even after being explicitly banned from doing exactly this.

And once again, that third layer of "connected discipline" comes into public view.

And again nothing will happen to the deputy chief or the lieutenant. Maybe some poor p.o. will take 30 for this but rest assured no other important people will.

Interesting enough, the Streets and San people and the OEMC people involved in the preferential parking all took suspensions, ranging from 3 to 14 days. CPD members, of course, didn't lose any days off without pay. Quite a raw deal for the 'civilians' tied in with this.

Maybe citizens, news reporters, COPA, IAD, and the Chicago Police Department should worry about the real violent crimes occurring in this city rather than worrying about about cops letting other cops park for free or without getting a parking citations in large events. It’s funny how nobody talks about how many churches or funeral Wakes get passes for illegal parking on the west and south sides. I guess it’s only relevant if it involves police officers. This city and it’s politicians are so full of shit, but yet CPD is the department who makes or breaks any political party. As always thank you for your supporting CPD lmao.

Off topic. On the 16th of April. I walked into a Chase bank , to cash my City of Chicago police payroll check issued by the city,, keeping in mind our City payroll checks are drawn from Chase Bank. I have a Chase account. I was told by Chase bank that the City of Chicago had a HOLD on all city payroll checks. At which point I asked if I could cash my Duty Availability check that was issued 2 weeks earlier,, I was told that it also had a City of Chicago hold on it. Really,,, this is what this City has come down to. We can’t even trust that our Payroll checks are going to be honored. But make sure that You clock in and punch in so we don’t get paid for something we didn’t work,, but we can’t even get paid for what we did work. When is the Mayors election??

Well, because none of these venues allow off duty law enforcement in with their weapons, the officers have two choices if they want to take the family to a sporting event. They can leave the gun at home and risk driving through Chicago s crime filled streets, or they can leave the item in the car, risking it being stolen. I applaud these bosses for providing a somewhat secure area for these officers to park.

Scandal where he "found" no wrongdoing.

And more similar such.

Right?

It's a highly developed art in the realm
of Rahm & Co.

A dizzying array of elbow, shoe sole and
asshole movement to give the illusion that
"something" is diligently being done.

Just like the many hack m/fers you see at
City Hall and HQ scurrying around from

"Got a minute?"
"Nope! Busy, busy, BUSY!"
(Said in that chirpy, sing-songy

>Sticks foot out to trip
the obnoxious m/fer<

"Whoopsie!"

...And all those papers are revealed to be
just the first few pages of an official-looking
document and the rest are just random things
fished out of the shredder pile...

As we said... Diversion.
Something bigly and possibly ugly
with Rahm and/or Ferguson's fingerprints
all over is coming?

"Awright muthafuckahs! Where da red card?"

Hey SCC this is off topic but affects all members. Apparently our unions; FOP; PBPA Sgt,Lt,Capt are all in agreement and in collusion with the city regarding pension funding via back filling. You see when we become 50 yrs of age and with 20 yrs on we are eligible under law to retire with benefits that were promised, but since the city has failed year after year after year to meet their pension obligations it has rendered our pension fund lacking to say the least. This provision of 55 and out with health insurance is a ploy whereby the city based on their calculations, reverse fund the pension by members who would normally have retired but stay for the health care that the city took away. When the FOP or PBPA are asked as to the city providing health care for those who want to retire when they are legally able too their response is leave, go ahead but no health care for you. Both FOP and PBPA are in collusion with the city in promoting this and discouraging officers from retiring even if they are maxed out prior to 55 yoa. The number one issues should be job protection, salary and health benefits, NOT new vehicles. You see all members are thus forced to stay to 55 regardless of their personal needs even though they have MET THE REQUIREMENTS under law and contract to receive a pension and health care as promised by the city. You see the division, the lines are drawn WE are truly on OUR own now.....

Really? If you are a policeman, you want people fired for allowing you and your family preferred parking so you do not encounter a previous arrestee? Screw off idiot.

If you are a troll, try doing our job for years and attempt to enjoy an event with the family, only to have it ruined by some criminal you previously arrested. Furthermore, the reason we have to worry about this in the first place is because of liberal assholes that encourage crime to run rampant.

This has been going on for years no big deal, but when Joey ferguson gets involved he blows it out of proportion! Think rahm gave him another huge contract nad added millions to his bloated budget as long as he lets the real criminals alderman-mayor-treasurer-city clerk and the rest operate with abandon!

On another subject the separation of church and state is what keeps the churches with the ability to be totally tax free, that includes realk estate taxes on that mansion on State parkway, the cathedral and free garbage pickup and also the schools and salaries of the clergy all tax free! Yet again cupich is sticking his big nose where it does not belong:

Cardinal Cupich calls on state lawmakers to display 'moral courage' and override gun law veto

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-met-cardinal-cupich-gun-dealer-bill-20180417-story.html

Excerpt:
Cardinal Blase Cupich lent his moral authority Tuesday to the veto override effort that seeks to impose new regulations on gun shops in Illinois, saying the bill at issue is a “common sense” measure that could help to stem the violence in Chicago’s streets.

“While debates continue, balancing death and maiming against the inconvenience and cost of licensing gun dealers … I come here today to stand with those who are the real authorities on the epidemic of gun violence,” the archbishop said at a news conference at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, whose emergency room treats hundreds of gunshot victims a year.

*Is this guy delusional? the guns will keep coming do you really think goof that the guns will not be here if they close gun shops here? they come right up I-57 along with the dope war on drugs worked really well also right?

Interesting enough, the Streets and San people and the OEMC people involved in the preferential parking all took suspensions, ranging from 3 to 14 days. CPD members, of course, didn't lose any days off without pay. Quite a raw deal for the 'civilians' tied in with this.

4/17/2018 12:22:00 AM

Now the bigger question watch the civil actions as they go after the coppers which is happening frequently! How many coppers have lost and will lose thousands in cash directly from their bank accounts and or garnished wages! If you don't want to lose anything don't do anything! the more you look at the coppers many call "dogasses" and they retire, get the pension, blood pressure and health good due to low stress, vs the go getters who are worring about their freedom, family, job get me a big bowl of Alpo Woof!Woof! policing is done collect that check twice a month enjoy your life!

4/17/2018 08:27:00 AM

This is why I have cut back on attending these venues. I have found other venues and activities where no one ask if you are armed. In fact, they applaud it and are glad you are there with them.
The few events that I have attended, I had someone who is armed drop me off and then pick me up. Problem solved.

under no circumstance leave should you leave your weapon in your vehicle. DOPA(dipshits on public aid) is handing out 10 days for that. I actually know a welder who created a very unique and secure spot in my vehicle for such an item.

4/17/2018 10:54:00 AM

The 55 and out is a great deal with healthcare no need to make it any earlier sorry you got on the job too early and you have to stay if you don’t want to stay you could go no problem find other job get healthcare simple as that quit crying like a little girl be happy we got something!

They probably were in shock to see someone walk in trying to cash a payroll check. You do realize it's 2018 right ? Direct deposit has only been around for like 30 years . Look up from playing with your Walkman once and while and join the 21st century pops .

4/17/2018 03:19:00 PM

Chase, like most banks, will not credit your account any paper check until it clears. Funds are available immediately with direct deposit, though. Ask your grandkids to show you how to set it up, gramps.

Fuckhead Ferguson pays for parking everywhere he goes? Nobody has EVER taken care of him? Not once?

He can go fuck himself. Fucking pimp.

Stop picking on Joe, he pays the freight, via a City of Chicago MasterCard with no limit. He and the FOP keep the 5 star resturants in the Gold Coast thriving. FOP=Dues. Joey= Tax payers $$.

Dean steal the FOP ride, and no one does shit about it. The phony priest has all those high line church peoples cars on sidewalks and doubled parked every day of the week, and no one say shit.

The city is dead folks ! Old Man Daley, Jane and Harold are rolling. The Cardinal hates the police and makes no bones about it. Him and his boy Fr. Flacker are imposters in the Roman Catholic Church.

To 3:24 its news numbnuts when someone is caught stealing. If your not paying for parking thats criminal activity. If your parking in no parking zones that's illegal parking and your car should be towed. Those are the unpleasant facts. Despite what many of you think you are not an entitled class. Your sworn to obey the law and enforce lawbreakers. There is not a sign that says off duty police parking that I am aware of is there?

Eat a dick, douche. Illegal parking is a parking ticket, and at best, a tow. A far stretch from criminal/stealing activity, asshat. If police officers upset you so much by a few of them receiving free parking, I encourage you to never utilize our emergency services. You are nothing but a beefer anyway, no one would want to cut you the simplest of reports. Now get off the blog and head back to World of Warcraft in your parents' basement.

Why hasn't anybody talked about how the two Starbucks Heroes were asked to leave the premise since they were not purchasing anything. It was not race, it was race baiting. They knew what they were doing and now they hit the lottery. Sad this gets more attention then all of the Young Black Lives that are being taken on an hourly basis from Violence. Wake up Media.
4/17/2018 07:56:00 PM

Not that I'm closely paying attention and know "all the info" but you don't usually have to buy anything at Starbucks. It's a coffee shop. I worked in a coffee shop before. People come in and sit for hours and either buy little or nothing. One of the self-identified witnesses said a M/W was in there not buying anything for a half hour. Not sure why this was race baiting and if so it must have included that M/W looking guy who came in at the end that they were waiting for.

And if you think for a moment they were "taking care of coppers," you're an idiot. They were taking care of the connected.

Hey 10:54 am are those black UN helicopters still hovering over your house as well? Instead of being happy for a negotiated benefit that lowered the age you could go with free insurance from 60 to 55 you'd rather beef it should be lowered to 50? You're the one causing the division, and I'm guessing you feel you're on your own because no one wants to listen to your whining.

News flash there technogeek....They don't fly checks around anymore it's all done electronically . There is no reason for a payroll check drawn on the same bank to be a hold ,the electronic transfer is instant . So either the City or the bank is kiting the money and picking up the interest, remember who your Mayor is

When I would get some undeserved crap from any supervisor, I would write 3 books of parkers for the "church goers" and then they would get taken care of, but the bosses would lay off me after that. Until the next time and then I'd do it again.

Retire as soon as you can and stay safe.

I bank at chase and no such thing happened to me. I think they were being polite and saying they couldn’t cash your check because your account was overdrawn. They may have misworded or tried not to embarrass you. They should have just been honest with you. A test would have been to see if they let you deposit it. I’m guessing they would have.

You can always join the credit union and get your debit card with a picture of a squad car on it just to make sure everyone knows you’re a cop.

That's all Ferguson has to do is worry about some coppers and firemen and Politicians parking for free. Well why not check out aldermen who get lots of perks for helping out businesses for getting them loading zones in front of businesses. How about Dept. Of Revenue allowing Valet parking in front of all these places downtown and getting FREE FOOD. Go past every hotel downtown and see for yourself. THIS CITY SUCKS BIG TIME, RAHM HAS TO GO AND HE WILL.

Hey, remember the first “True Detective” with Matthew and Woody? The very first part where Woody’s Character was asked the different kind of personalities that are Cops. Woody said something along the line of “you have the bully, the brain, and so on.” The two detectives asked Woody which one he was and Woody said “me? I just a dude with a big ass dick.”
Great show, great actor
