Priorities

It doesn't seem to be the free flow of traffic - you know, commerce, trade, buses and people actually trying to get to work:

The bike lane is plowed, but the traffic lane isn't. Thank goodness Rahm took out a full lane of traffic against the curb where plows might be able to actually remove snow from the roadway and give it over to the bicyclists who are nowhere to be seen during another sub-freezing day.

When the plow does come, it’s gonna push all the snow onto the already plowed bike lane. Genius move.

Maybe Paul Vallas will really run and stomp his pussy ass out of town. Imagine Rahm trying to live here without having bodyguards? Would be kind of funny...don’t think that the other politicos wouldn’t vote to remove his perks if he got voted out. Something big is coming to Rahm, and when it breaks, insiders are going to be coming out of the woodwork like they did in Harvey Weinstein scandal to feed him to the dogs for good.

Vallas has kids on the force, too. So he can’t be all that bad, right?

Take a 4 lane street and reduce it to 2 in a traffic snarled city (4800 to 5200 Broadway and 1600 to 2000 Lawrence ). Put planters in the median and swell the corners so traffic can't get by. Install a blended street scape for total confusion ( 1000 to 1200 argyle)
. Now realize that this isn't just going on in Chicago ...... it's nationwide.
What gives ? Who thinks this is a good idea ? What's the point of all this idiocy ?

BTW The nutcase who advocated/petition for shutting down lanes on Lawrence. Is a nut case from Minn. and hates men and Trump and is white as a white snowflake and super extreme. Doesnt care about elderly children or other. She rides a biike so should everyone!

clothes. Don't you just love the new Shitchicago.

I have to laugh. So many cities with the bike lanes, for 3 bikes a week?

There's a park in Southern Wisconsin. "Bike Lane" signage, a white line and POOF, the lane ends, as street narrows. So, the signage, striping, labor for maybe 100 feet?????

Nuts?

Too, bicycles don't have to follow traffic laws, do they? (Sarcasm)
Stop signs, directionals, driving on sidewalks, signaling, etc.

NOT ILLINOIS. NOT LAW.

Google "vision zero ".
It will help to explain what you are seeing out there if you can stand all the u.n. buzzwords. Basically, the city traffic will move at the pace of the slowest commuting method to tottaly eliminate traffic deaths.
Hope you're not in a hurry.

It's Agenda 21

Make driving impossible. Drive you into public transit and give more control to the "planners". There is a method to this madness.

Probably has some hidden contract with his Divvy pals that these bike lanes will get top priority plowing.
Other than that - I do applaud people at least riding a bike to work in the winter. Even without a car, some 'communities' want to work and won't let anything stop them. Contrast this with people who has head pain, it too cold out, I ain't going to work in no snow!
