Crime is Up?

  • Police Supt. Eddie Johnson stood before a crowd of civic leaders and business people on Thursday and touted a major decline in the number of shootings in Englewood, long one of the most violent parts of Chicago.

“The crime reduction in Englewood is at a historic high,” Johnson said in an interview expanding on the drop. “I don’t know if people recognize how huge that is. We’re not claiming victory. But that’s progress.”

Johnson had good reason to highlight what’s happened in Englewood but also carefully couch that as just one step in dealing with the violence that’s pushed Chicago into an unwelcome national spotlight.

It’s true that the Chicago Police Department’s Englewood District is on pace to see the fewest shootings there since 1998 — with 34 fewer killings this year vs. the same span last year.

Yet this past week Chicago logged its 600th killing so far this year — a grim milestone the city has reached only twice in an entire year since 2003.

And violent crime citywide this year has fallen only slightly since last year, when 780 people were killed in Chicago — the most the city has seen in any year since the mid-1990s, according to a Chicago Sun-Times analysis....
Can you hear the numbers screaming as Special Ed's people torture them to dance for Rahm?

And do you notice the Slum Times printed this report on a Friday afternoon, after 5:00 PM? It doesn't even register as a blip on the news cycle. It's already forgotten, Rahm ignores it, Special Ed doesn't have to comment, the media can claim they covered it - and the killing/robbing/raping/shooting/carjacking goes on.

Just read in my CPD emails that the department is negotiating a consent decree with the Illinois Attorney General’s office. What are they trying to do? Is our leadership so inept that they can not run the department? Special Ed's email does not explain why! Just flowery garbage that a English Major, who as high as kite, would write.

I think it would be interesting to see cost benefit analysis on comparing the cost of the department in dollars to the years quoted to today.. for example-- the department costs in 2003 per killing to today 2017 per killing. I would do the numbers, but it would be bias--- we gotta get a liberal at UCLA or UC Berkeley to tells us. Make sure the person is Filipino and transgendered just to offset any federal lawsuits too. I am sure Rham will take another million dollars out of the property tax fund for individuals who can not afford their property taxes.

Few things: Ask EJ or KJ if they feel so confident about the trend in 007, would they live there? I know the answer! Secondly, to get a true account as to the effectiveness or quality of any product you must poll the consumers. Of course EJ is going to say crime is down and technology is working because that’s what MRE tells him to say. We all know that EJ does what the EVIL man MRE tells him to do. I would like to see what the good citizens of Englewood would say in a survey. Do they feel safer? Do they see crime going down? Or are they so FED up that they are leaving. That gives you a better estimation of the “success” in 007. Not just words by a known and proven liar.

Has anyone figured the drop in killings in 7, maybe because of nutrition, if I'm using the word correctly. Add the people moving out of the area, thereby spreading the problem to other locations and you have this reduction. The other possible cause and that's only if you truly believe in the tooth fairy, suddenly the mutts got religion. I don't think its the latter, but less folks to kill, and moving the business (Drugs) to new and safer territory is a much better answer. Just my humble opinion, just maybe the 7th dist. when they get a reasonable new Commander, it will be the place to transfer too. This is why coppers should invest into properties in the 7th dist.,, I think it will come back and there's a profit to be made from the mayhem and now the lack of mayhem. The assholes have abandoned ship, so lets take the ship over and in doing so prepare ourselves for retirement. Someone awhile back, coppers should from a corporation and buy a block or two and construct a compound. One last idea here, we would not have to worry about Jesse, he's now ill; this could be a great opportunity if only we could put it together, but that's usually a problem with coppers. If we get something good going, a copper will fuck it up. Just my thoughts, that over-time money's are just screaming to put somewhere.

When O.W. Wilson took over the police department he quickly changed his title from Police Commissioner to Police Superintendent and moved his office out of city hall to 1121 S State St. he then combined the 35 district into 21 and changed their boundaries to cover several political boundaries instead of one so the police commanders would not have to answer to only one politician. He effectively took politicians out of the police department by giving tests for promotions.
Today we don't even need a superintendent because Rahm has ruined the police department by politicizing it with "merit" promotions which are nothing more than political promotions that resulted in this clusterfuck that we have today.

O.T. Watching and re-watching the Channel 5 Investigative Report on the exonerations in the Watts crew arrests I came upon a pearl of a quote on the video, soon to be taken down Im sure. Phillip Thomas, one of the exonerated, states that the Watts crew would find out 'where the stash of ours was' and begin selling it themselves. It's on the channel 5 web site for 16 NOV 17. So, no "innocents" got caught up in this police corruption I'm guessing. Mr. Tepfer, their attorney, must just be holding his breath praying the exonerated don't get murdered or arrested in drug deals gone bad.

99% of the people being shot are criminals. To protect these criminals, they take police out of law-abiding and taxpaying communities and put them in communities that don't want the police, consume other communities' resources, and who breed and nurture the criminals themselves. Then the criminals travel to the unprotected communities and prey upon them. These real crimes, by criminals on law-abiding citizens, are never any concern of the politicians or media, who actively ignore them. This is Chicago.

What an accomplishment. Englewood has a half a dozen houses per block, boarded up after boarded up businesses, double digit off the charts unemployment, flourishing open air drug markets, fatherless children without any positive male role models and more vacant lots than any other area in the city. Instead department command staff are touting success in the decrease of murder homicides. One homicide is too many and cause for concern in any civilized community.

Maybe they should tout the success of that what really matters in line with the for real hope and change. How about simple things with long term solutions like demanding public schools actually graduating students that can complete globally and read at their grade level, career orientated jobs opportunities to lift the poor out of the democrat led plantation of perpetual despair, increased home ownership with new housing construction, weaning residents off democrat party encouraged government funded dependence into personal financial independence and common sense crime reduction solution housing those criminals that terrorize residents who just want to live their dream.

This year the murders are down. Next year those murders will be up. In the meantime, no lasting solutions were offered to address crime and disorder. Rather, a diversionary press conference was hastily assembled deflecting attention to all those citywide shootings and car jackings especially in those upscale recently gentrified areas. Englewood needs to petition city supervisors to bring back the former Executive Officer from 007 to maintain the continued successes. His departure has robbed residents of a command level social justice princess leaving the vulnerable Englewood residents naked and afraid.

You would be better off doing this without coppers being involved. Do it yourself and form your own cooperation. Police are notorious for fucking up a one car funeral and that's a proven fact. The idea is good and there's money to be made in the long term. Your best bet, buy the land now and sit on it. Is there a difference between:

A. Actively "destroying" lives.

B. Passively waiting while those lives are "self-destructed".

C. Actively encouraging those lives to embrace perspectives that result in "self-destruction".

D. Actively discontinuing authoritive actions which impede the "self-destructive" actions of those encouraged, by said discontinuations, to "self-destruct".

E. Restoring lands laid waste, by self destroying entities, to constructive benefit.
