I always wondered how Combined Insurance was allowed to sell their products in the police station.
There are hundreds of companies that would like to have a chance to pitch their wares to groups of employees with relatively steady pay checks and disposable income
And Im talking for 35 years theyve been doing this as far as I can remember
i got that in the mail today but failed to notice the picture because it went right in the trash. good eye..

This is not the first time people and companies with no sense of history make errors like this. I've seen this error before, I have also see a salute/Veteran's Day sale ad that featured the silhouette of a Russian soldier with an SKS rifle.
It's sort of like when you buy something made in China and you read the directions and you can tell they were written by who knows woo.

Like all insurance, Combined is nothing but a Pyramid Scheme.

They show you a book filled with co-worker medical roll abusers (the 5% who actually make money on the scheme) to entice you to join. Then they collect and pocket the free money the suckers pay.
This is no different than other insurance but unlike real insurance you take out to protect yourself from losing your home due to a fire or accident, Combines payout are so low that 95% of you never even get back what you paid into it. Think about it... They are in this to make money... Not give it all away!
For 30+ years someone has been paid off to allow a private company to sell you crap insurance on company time. Why only Combined? Why not other companies?
So use that money and buy real insurance if you need it... Not some scam that pays you $50 or $100 back of your own money if you go on iod while keeping the rest.
Tell you what. I'll offer you a much better return. You give me $500 a year and each year I'll give you back $250. A 50% return and far better than what the 95% non-medical roll abusers get back lol

That's nothing, the shark lawyers from touhy and associates come to every retirement seminar and pitch estate planning services to a captive audience, everyone of which is on the taxpayer funded clock. Not only do they not just hand out business cards, they sign people up for services with their "one day only" deal and collect cash and checks on the spot, all during working hours. I'll bet there are hundreds of lawyers who would jump at the chance to sell their services to city employees during the work day. HR continues to allow this.
The 24 year old graphic artist working out of her basement in Pilsen that was the low bidder on the project got it wrong.
FYI she also probably supports BLM, open borders, gay pet marriage, and police abolition.

Somebody went online and scooped up the first picture they saw of what they thought were Chicago cops.
Kind of like a presidential candidate from a few years back who made a campaign commercial, you know the type, with the uplifting music and various scenes from around the country, including a beautiful shot of what turned out to be some scenic harbor up in Canada.
I could really use a good Onion story right now that gets picked up by some media outlet and promoted as a real story. I love when this stuff happens.

An Indiana prosecutor says no charges will be filed against officers in the fatal shooting of a suspected car thief following a police chase in south suburban Chicago.
Lake County Prosecutor Bernard Carter said Thursday the four Indiana officers acted in self-defense. Indiana State Police handled the review of the Aug. 10 shooting of 33-year-old Mark P. Coffey of Chicago Heights.
The chase began in Crete and crossed into Indiana before going back into Illinois. Coffey hit a pedestrian and the chase stopped.
Shortly afterward, Coffey crossed back into Indiana and encountered the Indiana officers a few blocks east of the Indiana-Illinois state line near a gas station in Dyer, where he was shot, authorities said.
Police say Coffey faced an arrest warrant for battery and robbery.

I can't wait to leave this shit hole.
Combined was actually good for me. Almost lost a leg due to an injury, 6 days in intensive care, 2 surgerys, lots of PT and 9 months I couldn't work. Made over $25000.00 tax free which did more than cover my deductibles and lost OT/court. Did the math and at $42.00 a month I will never "pay back" all of that thru my career while I have them. Yes, they jack up the payment once a year but it has been only $1.00 each time. I was much better off that I had them. Also, no I am not a medical abuser either as one post suggested. I have only used the medical once in my 20+ years that was not an IOD and I usually come back too soon from the IODs I have had.
When I bought my plan it was sold to me by a retired CPD guy. He came to our roll call and gave his pitch. Maybe that is why they are able to mail stuff to our homes? Probably still retired CPD on their payroll. Or maybe our new union team has a tie with them.

If you want to see unarmed police you will need to go to Finland or Iceland - and they frequently keep an issued revolver in a locked storage box in the trunk.

I'm glad I went through all the posts. This was the first thing I thought of when I opened the mailing and only one person commented about it that I saw.
To be fair, its hard to tell those are London cops because there isn't a Muslim in the frame stabbing someone to death.
