Take Home Pay

By now, everyone has gotten the most recent check stub. And if you paid attention, you'd notice that your check was a bit lighter than before. That would be the Madigan engineered income tax hike.

Better hope the FOP gets a sizable pay raise to cover it. And if you can, move out of Illinois as fast as you can. Because it isn't even a drop in the bucket - read the entire article, but this portion is near the end:
  • The Illinois economy is still in shambles and residents are still stuck with sending a bigger chunk of change to the capitol.

If that’s not sad enough, consider the scale of the spending problem that remains in Springfield. The entirety of the $5 billion in tax increases will be eaten up by this year’s pension payment, and that’s still not enough to address the growing liability.
You read that correctly - the ENTIRE $5 BILLION in tax increases is due into assorted (and mismanaged) pension funds. None of them ours.

As of yesterday, I do all my shopping in Indiana. Groceries, soda and all sweetened beverages, dry goods, clothes, automotive supplies. You name it and I am buying it in Indiana from now on. My car is 1 year old and it was the last vehicle that I will purchase in Steal-linois.

I was able to google and find tax-wrinkles address and will be sending her all my receipts for sweetened to her apartment on south Greenwood. An elected official who lives in an apartment???? hhhmmmmm

I am a former Chicago resident, who 5 year ago, moved my family's small manufacturing business from Chicago to the Indianapolis area. Best move I ever made. My expenses related to property taxes, workman's comp, business insurance, etc. declined about 35%. My company owns several tractor-trailers and the cost to insure and license these vehicles has declined significantly.

I still have family that lives on the north side and coming up to the City 3-4 times a year, I notice how it is going to hell. It hurts me to see what was a great place to grow up as a kid being destroyed by the liberal Democratic politicians.

It is only going to get worse. As responsible people approach retirement age, they want to save more and are fleeing in order not to pay the crazy property taxes. I live in Carmel, IN and at least 1/3 of the residents in my 93 home subdivision are former refugees from Madiganistan. Madigan and his like truely fucked the State of Illinois.

When the person with the EBT card is buying junk food and such is not affected.

NOT ILLINOIS, NOT LAW.

$40 a check $80 a month almost $1,000.00 a year. That's on top of a $900.00 property tax and god only knows what this soda tax will cost. That's a couple of thousand dollars a year. Add the new garbage tax and the cell phone tax. Unbelievable.

Rahm and crew can't justify raises for police, when they spend their days demonizing the police - and continue sanctuary city policies that lose federal monies for current police programs.

You guys are screwed and will now enter the down turn the rest of us started in 2007 when Democrats took over the purse strings nationally.

Nothing new. It's stipulated either in the contract or a side letter to the amount. I remember a few years back when we received a real small raise 50 cents a paycheck was the minimum they could raise the dues. Also remember when we would get two raises in a year one in January and one in July that they tried to raise the dues twice. Believe that was corrected

Shut it down.
All of it.
Call in the Feds, the repossessors and take financial control away from the Democrats.
Can't even run a friggin lottery scratcher game.

Stumbling bumble Rauner has nothing good to say and started his Pander Wagon Tour
It's been 3 years of waiting for those promised Rauner Reforms and a anvil has yet to fall from the sky on Madigans head.
And listening to the goofy Democrat gov challengers, they're ready to give away more free stuff to the deadbeats with programs and tax increases all the way through 2030.
They're candidates and they're all ready plotting spending with money they or the state doesn't have.
Incredible and gullible proHillary state will eagarly go along with that.

Sidebar:
Erika Harold of Urbana on Tuesday announced plans for a Republican bid to challenge four-term Democratic Attorney General Lisa Madigan in 2018.
