The whole incident is under investigation, sparked by a complaint from 26th Ward Ald. Roberto Maldonado about how he was treated.
But in police body-cam video obtained by CBS 2, officers question whether Maldonado is asking for preferential treatment.
It’s in the middle of the night in Humboldt Park, one month ago. Maldonado wants to go home. The problem is, he wants to drive right through a crime scene, or wants police to drive him, personally.
What in god's name makes this asshole think he can just walk through an active police investigation? Oh yeah, he's an alder-asshole with homicides coming out of his ears, and he just doesn't care whether or not it gets solved.

- At the very end, as Maldonado is walking away, he can be heard saying faintly: "I hope that that wasn't taped."

Don't worry I am sure that the Aldermanic Ethics Committee and Joe Ferguson will vigorously investigate this incident!!!! As a result, the City Council will initiate a tax on purchase of crime scene tape and Joe Ferguson will issue a scathing report about garbage trucks who double park while picking up lunch from neighbor hood hot dog stands.
Since the Alderman likes to tape things, he wont have any issues with being required to tape all interactions with other alderman, political donors or businesses operating within his ward. That should make for some interesting viewing.
He should have been shown all respect and escorted through the crime scene. He is one of Chicago's VIPs.

Retired here. I've had three phone calls about this incident from former neighbors, who all live in Maldonado's ward. Called this hammerheads office today to let him know what I though about his abusive behavior. He's concerned about how police are perceived by the community? How about the City Council and what Chicagoans think of them? The majority of Chicagoans think they're a bunch of corrupt thieving scumbags.
CPD in the video handled this situation very professionally. Maldonado appeared to be baiting the officers by his belligerent questions and statements. I doubt that he knows every city street in every neighborhood throughout the entire city.
I think he was trying to demean the officers on scene because they are white. He and his compadres have been running their collective mouths lately about white people in the city that they perceive as conservative.

It actually does, because their professional reputations are being impuned and as we all know the complaint history is retained forever by the department. As such, any future reviews of their employment history would contain these allegations.
If the aldertheif signs an affidavit, he should be held accountable for lying.

One guy complains that O'Shea came to his door to sign a petition for Barracco's on 95th. At the same time, you would probably be all pissy that there are no businesses on 95th with a liquor license, making you drive down Western, to where all of the action is at. O'Shea has done nothing but good for the 19th Ward. He isn't some cake-eater who has nothing of his own invested in the neighborhood. His house is there, and so is his family.
Further, you all complain that he sided with BLM. That is totally false. He talked with them, and that is all he had to do to make them go away. Ask yourselves: has BLM been in Mount Greenwood since November? Of course not, because he played it in a way to make them go away.
I also ask you to ask yourself why it was that he took such a strong stance against these funerals in the first place? Maybe because he cares. Stop whining about any and everything. If not, why don't you run for alderman. And if you win, how would you handle these issues? Food for thought.

SLIGHTLY O/T - Another AlderCreature recently caught on video threatening a businessman is "Proctology" Joe Moreno. Other readers have posted comments that AlderCreatures should be forced to wear body cams. At least they would have a constant reminder to obey the laws that they pass. The good AlderRat was jabbing his hand and stating that the building would no longer generate income. 50 clowns should be reduced to 17.

Great idea but will never happen. Even if you sue won't get much if anything as you have no monetary loss and the officers were not named so slander and defamation don't apply

It actually does, because their professional reputations are being impuned and as we all know the complaint history is retained forever by the department. As such, any future reviews of their employment history would contain these allegations.
Agree, officers do not have to be named publicly. Permanent false record may affect your future income. Untill we start fighting these bastards back and making them pay for their false allegations this shit just keeps going on. Kevin where are you. This should be a priority for the union
