Speaking of Taxes

Is there a reporter anywhere who is investigating Prickwrinkle's last tax hikes that were supposed to prevent "gun violence"?
  • $25.00 per gun
  • $0.05 per center fire round
  • $0.01 per rim fire round
How much was actually collected as opposed to how much was used in her budget figures? And better yet, how much violence was prevented and how many hospital bills were paid?

We'll bet there isn't a single investigative reporter combing the public records or their own media archives.

That's why I buy guns from my FFL in Dupage County, and I stock up on ammo at Cabelas and Wal-Mart in Indiana. These liberal assholes haven't made a tax dollar off of me when it comes to guns and ammo. Even when I buy high capacity mags and ammo on-line I just ship it to a family member's house in Dupage. F$%k Crook County!!

I buy guns online and they get sent to my FFL in Lake County so no tax for me. If I buy it on my 03 C&R license it comes right to my door the next day and no tax no transfer fee. The ammo I don't reload also gets sent to my home in Albany Park.

Screw Crook County and their taxes.

As with gun control laws, excise taxes on firearms and bullets have not shown to save any lives or prevent gun violence. The 2013 CDC report commissioned by Obama is a great source for refuting the dogma of the Gun Control crowd.

SCC are you crazy. Reporters in Chicago, Il investigating democrats or taxes. They just write fake news and bad mouth the President. The BGG (Shaw?) or CCC, do they even exist anymore. Well we know they exist but they just collect donations and do exactly what with them? Anybody know? I know they used to hand out awards to politicians and exemplary citizens at luncheons and banquets. Haven't seen anything from either one of them since I don't remember!

In Seattle, the gun tax has collected maybe $100k (they refuse to release the numbers) but they have lost multiple times that as in city firearm businesses have seen fewer customers and some have moved out all together. Of course this is exactly the result the gun banners wanted. Less places selling guns in the city.

O.T.

Careful if you have trouble paying your new property tax bill on time....

From DNA Chicago:

The system, however, is attracting more attention in the wake of changes slipped through the Illinois General Assembly in 2014 to speed payments to cash-strapped Cook County. They called for the grace period for paying delinquent property taxes to be cut from what was routinely a year in the past to eight months last year and now just 90 days from when the August bill is due.

There is currently a bill to push the tax sale back to a year, but it has yet to be signed

Liberal democrats are so two faced! They'll bitch and rant about guns, all the while surrounded by a security detail armed with, guess what? Why don't they bitch and rant and demand longer jail times, and the death penalty, for people that kill other people illegally?
(Oh, I guess that would make them Republicans.) Anyhow.
They want the protection they don't want you and me to have. Wonder if the letters "F" and "U" mean anything to them?

Does anybody get it. Why won't anyone call her out on her bullshit taxes. The only ones paying for it are the middle class workers. People or folks committing all these shootings don't buy their guns or ammo and pay taxes. Just like the soda tax, people or folks on welfare don't have to pay it. She said the tax was for health reasons. BULLSHIT
It's all a tax on the Amish or other law abiding citizens

The death spiral is getting tighter and tighter. Soon the entire county and city will be flushed right down the drain and bankruptcy will be the rule of the day. Less police, less firefighters, less city services, more gang violence, more chaos, more politicians making bullshit excuses while they drain the taxpayers pockets even more. Get out now if you can; visit Indiana and stock up on ammo if you cannot leave, your going to need it.

Seattle has one of these accounts and it has resulted in the city's gun stores relocating to just outside the city.

Can't do that here, the city ran gun stores out 40 years ago.
So, pick on the county.

I hear that Cabela's in Hoffman Estates is working up a move to Kane Co.

Seattle has the sametax.. Shocking but it was a complete failure. There was a loss of revenue as guns stores lost 60% of their sales to outlaying stores..

The whole Cook County tax attitude is going to change July 1 when the pop tax of 1 cent an ounce takes affect. There will be more county tax on a case of pop than an actual cost of the pop or water. Also citizens will become aware of the number of bottled drinks it includes
Many people haven't put together that unlike the city taxes you can't just go to a suburb to avoid it. Now you have to leave the county
It wouldn't surprise me is it had a negative effect because if you have to leave the county you might as well go grocery shopping, fill up the tank and do other shopping out there
Just like the water bottle tax chicago implemented a few years back, this tax will never produce the tax revenue the politicians expected and included in the budget, especially now that link cards don't pay taxes

There was an article about Seattle coming to terms with this exact same issue. Even stated that people who are going to buy ammo to shoot someone, don't care about the extra nickle, it only hurts people who practice.

New Crook County Sugar Tax should be interesting coming in July. Look for a revolt when consumers have to fork over a penny and ounce to enjoy their favorite beverage. Over $2 added tax on a 24 can case of soda. Time to put lunatic Prickwankle in her place. Democrats are job killers and forcing taxpayers out of Illinois.

How many businesses have gone out of business or dropped their firearms business lines?

That would be a story. Any People laid off, dreams shattered, personal wealth destroyed? Reporters and editors love to tug the heart strings. They can find that in this story.

Okay, so let's say Dindu Nuffin shoots Jermaine X. And Dindu hasn't purchased his weapon legally. Does Dindu get locked up for failing to pay a gun tax? I guess in Cook County, you can do a few months for attempted murder, but tax evasion will get you life. Remember Al Capone....

Never in Cook County.
Was that money suppose to go towards Gun Safety and EdgaMacation Programs?
Another brainstorm from the financial mind of PrickCanker and likeminded State Reps.
So, what did they do with the $137.52 they collected last year?
Let's see the audit or is the program run by the Cook Co Homeland Security or the Illinois Lottery folks?

Only in financially strapped, overspending, over bloated Democrat run Illinois is there such race-related taxation.

No jobs - just more taxes and greedy shameless Democrats.

dangerous. Sorry democrats, there are not enough rich people in Chicago to tax your way out of bad government and your uncontrolled social policy costs. You are entering the woods of real trouble now.

To 6/16/17 05:48. Exit Hwy 50 not 60. You are 100% correct. We drive once a week to Woodman's and Costco. By pass the last toll by getting off at the Grand Ave East exit to 21 to 41 a mile further but you miss the toll and it's only a mile longer. The people at Woodman's and Costco are very polite and really appreciate your business. Sales tax is only 5 1/2 % on alcohol and no tax on food.. I just paid 2.09 for reg at Costco. I know people will say you are not saving with cost of gas used and tolls but you are missing the point I would rather pay more than to see Madigan, Rahm and Perrywinkle get my money. Taxation without representation. ♠️
