Mass Car Theft Averted
- Five teenagers were arrested and officials are still looking for another after they tried to steal cars from a rental lot in Des Plaines, according to police.
Des Plaines police said a group of six teens were seen jumping a fence at Advantage Rent A Car that shares a lot with Hertz on 2170 Mannheim Road in Des Plaines.
Thank goodness car theft is a non-violent crime....according to Kim Foxxx:
- Police said they caught three of the teens inside the lot and found a backpack that contained a handgun. They found another two teens hiding and another handgun on the ground at Rusty and Parkwood, police said.
Hmmm. Well, good thing no one actually had the gun with them - that way Kim Foxxx can argue on behalf of the suburban rapscallions that they weren't actually in possession either gun as they attempted to steal half-a-dozen cars. Hopefully, this doesn't jeopardize anyone's prom night plans.
- The Daily Herald reported that the teens were 16 or 17 years old and from Chicago.

So these "teens" were white, right? No? Asian then? Well, whatever race, I assume they weren't planning on using the cars and guns for any violent crimes like robberies and shootings.

I doubt this is their first rodeo too. So maybe being in another city, they might get a little taste of what they should have got a long time ago.

There would have been a time that these bad boys would have been afraid to go into the suburbs. Not anymore.
Stealing is a crime and quite dangerous, even deadly, as well. First, robbers often arm themselves in preparation to do violence in order to be successful in committing their crimes. Likewise, people are wore willing than ever before to defend what is theirs, equaling perforated would be thieves.
Violent? You Bet and in more ways than one.
Smoking pot, yeah, not so much.
The prior is inherently violent, and two directions. The latter isn't.
The prior needs policing, the latter does not. Far too often, police are directed by politicians to focus on the latter, while letting the prior run rampant. "Prevention", they claim. Uh huh.
Note - "Teens" cough cough are not funding their pot smoking habit by stealing groups of cars from rental companies. It is far more likely they were trying to steal look alike CPD cars to impersonate officers......Yeah Rahm, that was directed right at you and your idiocy.
They might have actually found the guns and needed a ride to turn the weapons in to the police so other innocent children weren't harmed by those evil guns.

Sad thing is these kids have been arrested numerous times already for this. However the juvenile system processes them in and out in sometimes less than an hour.

I am sure they were all ghetto rats.
I'm a concealed carry person for the last two years and have never had to use my firearm. What is puzzling to me, this type of crime by these alleged juveniles is never reported in any detail to the public. Regular people have no idea how dangerous these young criminals are and there is no real legal deterrent to discourage them from committing auto theft, and burglary of the rent-a-car business. As I read this blog., the police recovered two guns and because they weren't found on any individual's person and do to the States Attorney's policy's, will probably not be charged. I know presently these are juveniles, with the exception of the 17yr old, so again why isn't the media or these so call community organizers saying anything about this and other incidents that are similar??? Like SCC said, they were in the process of getting a vehicle(s) to perpetuate other crimes armed with firearms. Thank God they were arrested on the scene and stopped. But what keeps coming up in my mind, if I or a Police Officer had to use deadly force on one or more of these young criminals, then it would be in the media in great detail. But the detail would be focused on the Police or someone like me for acting lawfully and not the criminal in the most negative way possible.
Seems like the shitcargo riffraff is headed out of town to perform their skullduggery.
You have these teens trying to turn their lives around in the north suburb. Then, there is the south sider who is sitting in the DuPage county jail for murdering the Hinsdale woman in early May. These two incidents following the stolen car individual who turned rogue at Delnor hospital and ended up being shot by Kane county SWAT.
Looks like they don't get away as often and when they don't, kimmy and prickwinkle are not at their backs!

This guy was driving in figure 8s down Michigan ave from the intersection of Huron to Chicago, going in between families crossing the street and cars, driving on the wrong side of the street.

Smart, Enlightened People actually Do know how dangerous these type of thugs came be under the wrong circumstances.
You don't need to be a cop to wrap your head around the fact that shit can go pear shaped in Lincoln Park or Wrigley or Edison Park or Jeff Park or Uptown or Rogers Park or Irving Park or Montclare.

If you're sending visitors please send adults. I could use the court time. Plus, the kids have such smart mouths. That is only worth it if a. mom comes to pick them up promptly and b. she struggles to restrain herself but jumping on the kid in the station.
