And Speaking of Cars....

  • An 18-year-old woman was killed Friday after another woman repeatedly rammed her into a tree with a car in the Morgan Park neighborhood following an argument, authorities said.

It happened about 11:10 p.m. in the 11400 block of South May Street, according to Chicago police, in a residential street where homes are lined with front yards on the Far South Side.

The accused, a 24-year-old woman, was in custody, and charges were pending, police said.
Charge her with what? We just pointed out in the below post that cars can't kill anyone. Otherwise, police would be allowed to defend themselves against someone using a car as a weapon.
  • The accused offender fled the scene before being apprehended by police.

A damaged Jeep Liberty with chunks of wood sticking to its smashed bumper was found about a mile and a half from the scene near 115th and LaSalle streets. The entire front of the silver vehicle was crumpled up and concave.

A young child was in the back seat of the car, law enforcement sources said.
[edit] Nice to see the offender left her juvenile accomplice behind in the car following the non-murder. If only the police were there, maybe they could have shot the tree or something, seeing as how the car was the only force being used. Remember:
  • Use of firearms in the following ways is prohibited - Firing at or into a moving vehicle when the vehicle is the only force used against the sworn member or another person.
We can hardly wait to see what further restrictions are going to be put in place this summer with the "new and improved" Non-Use of Force policy.

UPDATE: Have Special Ed's bean counters classified this one as a motor vehicle accident? Cars aren't weapons according to the Department.

"Charge her with what? We just pointed out in the below post that cars can't kill anyone. Otherwise, police would be allowed to defend themselves against someone using a car as a weapon."

~Snip!~

"No doubt, there were chunks of the victim embedded in the grille, too..."

Seen human beings ground to hamburger in car
accidents and vehicular homicides.

And then there's:

"If only the police were there, maybe they could have shot the tree or something, seeing as how the car was the only force being used."

Going forward?

"Use of firearms in the following ways is prohibited - Firing at or into a moving vehicle when the vehicle is the only force used against the sworn member or another person."

That ever so pesky "The Police are what's wrong with Chicago.
Once we fix THEM, everything else will fall in place."

Nobody is paying any heed to the old axiom of:
"Be careful of what you're asking for. You just
might get it. And right hard too."

Oh well.
In summary?

"We can hardly wait to see what further restrictions are going to be put in place this summer with the "new and improved" Non-Use of Force policy."

Here is the problem SSC, if an officer was on scene and fired his weapon into the car to stop the drivers deadly action and that innocent child inside the vehicle got injured by ricochet or bullet fragment the officer would be charged. A case similar happen recently in another state. They charged the officer with the child's murder although the father was failing to yield and caused a pursuit.

While a very unfornute situation for the victim this case perfectly illustrates how fucked up and ridiculous this department is and the great lengths they will go to tie our hands.

I think the general public needs to be made aware of the "ways of the hood". The progressives that continue to support those living in this barbaric subculture, can't possibly be aware of the crazy shit they do to each other, and the rest of us if they have an opportunity.

Why were large pieces of the offending vehicle left at the scene. I belive that would be considered evidence, which would aid in proving the
correct vehicle was identified. It is sloppy Police work to not recover ALL items of evidence at a crime scene.

Was watching the news Saturday night and had to laugh. Shortly after, if not immediately, they began reporting on mothers in Cook County Jail. Some air headed activists was whining how 90-100% of those victims/incarcerated were there because they somehow had been abused by someone. I was thinking i wish someone would show this silly bitch a picture of the Jeep with a front end smashed in after crushing another woman to death against a tree. All over a Facebook feud. By this afternoon hopefully this offender will be looking out a window there watching the march.
Maybe they should be standing in front of the victims house mourning with the family instead of in front of jail feeling sorry for the dregs of society.

well the order was just re-written...a 2017 smartcar wont do as much damage as a 76 Cadillac. esp since a lot of these new cars now have sensors when you get to close !

So...

If The Police were to be on scene while somebody
is being ground to burger meat between a car and
some other object, the local porch sitters would be
fine with The Police excercising the new curtailment
of justified Police Force paradigm?

Got it...

Defend yourselves ONLY then...

If, if, if, if, if! They can write all the policy, laws, rules, restrictions, whatever, they want, but when the shit hits the fan, how many police officers are going to pull their weapon and try to stop the vehicle headed straight towards them? Some won't. Their chances are slim. Others will do everything they can to survive including shooting every bullet they can at the driver, the car, the engine, the tires, whatever they think will give them a chance. Common sense says they'll do whatever they can to survive. The policy is there only to hang the officer if he does survive.
If the officer is charged criminally, I'd like to be on his jury.

I'm guessing if you ram your front bumper into someone more than 25 times, only then would it be considered intentional.

'in a residential street where homes are lined with front yards on the Far South Side.'

That's it! the city is at fault, since most likely some of those front yards had TREES in them, and they should have been removed since they are CAPABLE of causing death! No blame must be assessed towards the moron driver who repeatedly smashed this person. It is the city's fault for allowing TREES in the neighborhood.

That said, that had to be a most horrific way to die. Is the human species racing to the bottom faster than usual?

Taken from DHS.GOV, National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin : Homegrown terror suspects are increasingly relying on technology, such as end-to-end encrypted social media applications, to avoid detection. Moreover, terrorist groups are urging recruits to adopt easy-to-use tools to target public places and events. Specific attack tactics have included the use of vehicle ramming, small arms, straight-edged blades or knives, and homemade explosives, as well as other acts such as taking hostages.
