"Didn't Deserve"??

What was it William Munny said? " 'Deserves' got nothin' to do with it"
  • On Saturday, for the second time in less than two years, Luciana Sanders got the news that her teenage son had been shot.

Last year, Laquan Allen was shot in the thigh. He recovered.

Saturday afternoon, someone came again for 14-year-old Laquan, who was on a sidewalk near a Chicago Park District playground in the 4900 block of West Hubbard Street.

    He did not survive.
You get shot twice in under two years, you're doing something wrong. And if the stories out of 015 are true, if you get shot within hours of being released on a PSMV charge, well, someone else probably thinks you deserve a lesson.

The ACLU has demanded that 015 stop only white people (and folks) for the next 24 hours in an effort to find the killer(s) of this poor car thief. The trouble is that they can't find enough to keep the ACLU mandated statistics completely even. The police aren't looking forward to finding the appropriate percentage of Hispanic suspects, and God only knows they're going to do when they need to find Asians.

14, he wasn't old enough to start turning his life around. Oh well, I am sure his clan will avenge him and then someone else will be shot.

Calling Carol Marin!! You have another opportunity to broadcast a new "Laquan Legacy" Part II. You're so crafty, you will find a way to blame CPD for this homicide as well. And your gushing admirers will nominate you for yet another undeserved award by another paragon of journalism.

So he is busted the day before and released to his grandmother/mother who are "concerned" enough about who he hangs with to allow him to go back on the street the next day?

Just another day and the warmer weather will be coming in to stay for a long while how many more how much more blood will flow the tip of the iceberg is the elected that I have caused all of this look at Sunday's papers both the Tribune and the times complete order dishonest attacks on Chicago police officers. The dishonest media in this town is reprehensible no other group gets bashed and any media as the Chicago Police Department gets beat up constantly it is totally ridiculous what is being reported. Especially your younger officers be extremely cautious with anything you do in the ghetto dealing with the scum of the earth because the media has a love affair with the felons.

Do yourself a favor and look up his criminal history. At least half a dozen PSMV arrests to go along with several CTTV ones. Career car thief by 14. Looks like someone else besides us saw what a joke juvenile "justice" is in this county and took care of business. Someone saved us taxpayers a little scratch. Good riddance vermin.

Believed he was being pressured to join a gang? He stole a car already and got shot! Twice! He was neck deep in a gang, and now he's 6 foot under to a gang. Parents who have their heads in the sand or somewhere else entirely! These are nearly the worse kind of parents, the ones who won't acknowledge their child is a hoodlum. Anyone looked for his FB page to see if he has pics of guns, money and dope on it?

It's amazing how the so called "media" in Chicago all take turns hosting, attending and giving each other awards for various causes.
Now that is the real hard news that they seek out!

What would compel this mother to stay in Shitcaga, at the point that your 14 yr. old son is a car thief and been shot once already? I don't understand this mentality and mindset. People are moving out of Cook County by the tens of thousands, many because of better employment elsewhere, or because of our inferior schools or deteriorating general quality of life! If you are already on welfare, you will be on welfare somewhere else; but somewhere else might be better or at least safer. So Why Stay Here? Oh, I forgot Shitcaga/Wilmette Values. Baby "G"

LaQuan 2.0 - where's the graduation photo?
I think the news gave momma and gran momma some airtime, they have yet to blame Rahm, the Alderthief, the Revrun and themselves.
The city is safer w/o a Laquan up in here.

We don't hear that much about shootings and murders anymore. Maybe a quick blip. For the last 2 days now I heard on the radio about 2 white girls getting booted from a flight because of their attire, as if this is REALLY IMPORTANT stuff we need to know about.
Then there's all the Russian Election Influence bullshit, noting it was never brought up during Hillarys presumptive big win.

Rahm has the Chicago Fake News Media silenced. They're bringing up Burge and Van Dyke frequently lately.
Lots of suburban and out of state shootings and murders are mostly being highlighted too.

Sleepy Old Tyme Chicago, all must be good now.

HunchLab predicted this murder. All data points suggested a mission and crime reduction event number. Is this yet another example of the catch and release of caught in the act criminals? The freshly released back into society criminals get back to business as usual only to be classified shortly thereafter as a murdered victim or homicide offender currently on bond.

Wasn't it a few years ago some kid around the same age got popped in 025 and when the news interviewed his mother she said that's why they moved to Oak Park so they could get away from the gang life in Chicago. Oak Park borders Austin hahahahahaha. Even the part of Oak Park furthest from Chicago is only a bike ride away.

(OT) The title of this story should be treasure hunter Mayor! Find another $160 million dollars to spend:

Chicago chooses vendor for massive streetlight replacement program

Mary Wisniewski
Chicago streetlights
The city has selected a vendor team led by Ameresco, a Massachusetts-based energy efficiency company, for a project to modernize the city's streetlight system with LED lights, city officials said Monday.

The proposed contract will be presented to the City Council on Wednesday. If approved, the $160 million, four-year project will replace 270,000 of the city's light fixtures, starting this summer, according to a joint announcement from Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the transportation department and the Chicago Infrastructure Trust.

The first year will focus on updating streetlights in neighborhoods with "heightened public safety concerns," primarily on the West and South sides, the announcement said. The new LED lights also will be installed in the first year along about a dozen main arterial streets.

The new lights, which will be owned and operated by the city, will consume 50 to 75 percent less electricity than existing high pressure sodium lights, and the savings will be used to pay for the modernization, the city said. The city did not provide a copy of the vendor contract.

The new system will allow lighting levels to be controlled remotely and will provide real-time updates when outages occur, the city said. Lights will be focused down on the streets and sidewalks with limited "light trespass" into homes, the city said.

"This project will really change nighttime visibility across the city," said Transportation Commissioner Rebekah Scheinfeld, speaking Monday at the City Club of Chicago.

The project would also change the look of the city, since LED lights provide a white-bluish light, rather than the orange-yellow glare of sodium lights.

"This project represents a significant investment in Chicago's future and specifically our neighborhoods," said Chicago Treasurer and Infrastructure Trust chair Kurt Summers, in a statement.

The city has been installing LED streetlights since 2012 on a project-by-project basis, according to city officials. Since 2015, all new lights have been LED, totaling less than 1 percent of the lights in the city. A pilot project also sampled LED lights in seven neighborhoods in December.

More than half the light fixtures will be assembled at a Chicago plant, and Ameresco has committed to using city residents to perform at least 50 percent of the work on the project, according to the city.

Police find rifle in stroller, handgun and ammo in diaper bag

Peter Nickeas
A woman was charged after police said they found a loaded rifle wrapped in blankets in a stroller she was pushing and a handgun with extra ammunition tucked into a diaper bag early Monday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Police were monitoring cameras in the area of 45th and Wood streets because of gunfire there about 11 p.m. Sunday and saw two women enter a house about 2:15 a.m. -- one carrying a backpack and the other a bag -- and leave with a stroller about five minutes later.

Police asked officers on the street to "conduct an investigatory stop," which they did in the 4500 block of South Hermitage Avenue, about a block from where the women were first seen.

After asking if there were any weapons in the stroller, which was covered, one of the women said yes, police said.

Inside, officers said they found a Mossberg Model 472 30-30 rifle with two rounds and a spent shell casing wrapped in blankets.

Police also found a Smith & Wesson 9 mm with 15 live rounds, an extra magazine (loaded with 15 live rounds), an extra magazine and a box of 9 mm ammunition in a diaper bag that was on the stroller's seat.

Yarisma Martinez, 18, was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. She's due in bond court Tuesday. She lives in the 4500 block of South Hermitage Avenue, police said.

ICE is here come on rahm your protection for illegal criminals using taxpayers money is over sir, follow the federal laws are these types "just wanna work people?"

Chicago is the distribution center for drugs from (gasp) Mexico. Drugs given to black gangs to sell on the street. Street sales lead to shootings if encroachers sell in another's hood. Shootings metastasize to retribution and targeting. If Rahm really wants to end this he would insist on border security but wants support from illegals and mush headed liberals so he follows tradition (remember the democrat Hispanic Org.?) and doubles down on "sanctuary" crap because he knows the City will explode if drugs, the main economic engine in certain hoods, gets dried up.
