Rahm's Ride Along

  • For at least the second time since taking office, Mayor Rahm Emanuel has gone on a nighttime “ride-along” with Chicago Police officers, this time in two of Chicago’s most violent districts.

It happened Sunday night when Emanuel and Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy joined officers regularly assigned to the Gresham and Grand Crossing districts.

The mayor’s office disclosed the ride-along without revealing details.
Big on headlines, short on details - how very Clinton-esque or even Obama-like. Not a word we're sure about how he's using the threat of no-retro to beat concessions out of the FOP or how he's expecting the blue-shirts to take it in the ass during negotiations so he can look tough against a "union" that can't strike.

We did manage to snag this photo of Rahm-s ride-along from an old friend though:

Aww shaddup already and get the fuck out of bed with Rauner and Msall already.

Fuck spraying the mattress and flipping it... Drag that sumbitch out in the alley and burn it...

Just another scripted, well controlled stunt by this egotistical asshole.
I feel sorry for the poor coppers who drew the short straw and had to spend a short time with him. I'm sure Rahm was busy explaining why he needs to "reform", aka get his grubby 9.5 digits on, our pensions... and how he needs us to take a 10% pay cut.
I'm sure one of Rahm's yes men told him this would show empathy to the understaffed, overworked, mismanaged and underpaid police department. Remember Rahm never let's a crisis go to waste.

OT SCC, have a look at this. San Jose, California is planning to significantly reduce public employee benefits. Many municipalities around the country are keeping a close eye on what is happening there. Rahm Emmanuel´s name is mentioned in the article. Interesting read.

These cockroaches keep trying to change the rules mid-game. F*ck that. Maybe a nationwide strike by public employees will let government officials know to keep their hands away from our benefits.

People are starting to take note of what a coward Rahm is...

Running away from news conferences without taking questions.

Locking down the on-line comment sections on stories like this one and the recent mass shotification.

Controlling/restricting public commentary and the free flow of information to facilitate one sided spin and message massaging.

It's the first order of those who hate the very idea of people being secure and free in their speech and thoughts.

To people like Rahm and McBarley, the very notion of free flowing information that doesn't originate with or isn't filtered through them or any of their several layers of functionaries is unsettling to THEM.

Everything they've built in this city so far is based on double-talk, slippery syntax, lies by omission, gyrating numbers, fuckery, bojankery, clownery and the fully held belief that they ARE smarter than everyone else...

"Those out of control Cops refuse to sit down and shut up!"

"You guys are just angry and hateful for no reason... Instead of calling bullshit on everything the mayor and superintendent are trying to do, why don't you guys play nice and fight some of this crime?"

Because everything they say and do is a distillate of bullshit?

Heh... Funny...
Policemen DON'T have the option of turning tail and running to save face in adversarial situations like the mayor does...

>SNICKER!<

"Rahms Ride Along?"

>Pffft!<

See Rahm Run because he can't get the bounce and spin he wants on a story to fit his agenda.

Trotsky would giggle like a school-girl at how Rahm has elevated propaganda and media spin/control to high art in Chicago...

Never you mind the stink of death, corruption and the venality of the criminal political/media apparatus in Chicago...

But as always?
The Police are the problem.

Not these gun-slinging, mouth-breathing, rapidly replicating, wild-assed, ungoverned, willfully ignorant, nihilistic, dead-end, death worshippers currently doing the damned fool in this city.

Police have rules of conduct to abide by so Rahm has no problem saying he's "gonna stick it in the Cops ear."

Rahm has no stomach for shit-talking Dude Inc. in similar fashion.

Dude and Rahm are two sides of the same corroded coin.

Heh... Give it to Dude... He can retaliate and give Rahm a belly-full of his own nasty medicine.

Just an observation that the media DARE not bring up.

The smart people at City Hall and HQ have outsmarted themselves into a corner. The only thing they have left is burning this Department at both ends in pretense of actually doing something.

Until they figure "something" out.
Whatever the fuck it might be...

Officials believe the men strangled Danno's wife and mother-in-law Saturday on Chicago's Southwest Side before loading their bodies into a PT Cruiser, driving to a suburban forest preserve and leaving the Cruiser on fire, according to a press release issued Monday by the sheriff's office Monday night.

Rahm would sing a different tune if the membership would stick together and refuse to work VRI and special. But that will never happen because too many coppers have the "it's all about me" attitude and would sell out a fellow officer in a heart beat. So bend over membership and prepare to take it like we normally do with your customary bitching, but no back bone to stand up do anything about it.

Do not back off the residency stipend proposal FOP! It's the only thing he fears, and your only leverage at this point. He knows he can't explain to taxpayers why they should pay a stipend to city employee's just to live here when the alternative is to drop the residency requirement which would cost them nothing. And he can't drop the residency requirement because although he has declared war on labor and the middle class he knows he needs our tax money. Squeeze the rotten little prick.

Hey Rahm...

Where were you on those hot nights in July and August?

You had PLENTY of opportunities to roll with us in Harrison, Austin, Englewood, Gresham, Grand Crossing and Pullman to see your true constituents light each other on fire and eat each other alive in their natural habitat.

Or better still... You could have rolled around on a Friday and Saturday night in your own 019 to witness first hand what happens when you steal Police in bulk from working tax payers to pacify your constituents.

Heh... Only to have your constituents show their gratitude for your theft of Police presence from working tax payers by fleeing their over-Policed breeding grounds and migrating to where the Police are a shell of their former selves.

Just waiting for some news of your neighbors catching your "oh so busy" ass standing still so they can ask you man to man to explain how two combined districts are being run with 250 or so Officers when as separate districts they had a manpower compliment of around 350 Officers EACH in years past...

You flit and flutter from fundraiser to fundraiser hopping to pile up enough money to flat out buy/steal the mayoralty after the one term lick you were hoping to hit spontaneously disassembled under the corrosiveness of your fuckery and venality.

Truth is Rahm's mortal enemy.
Anyone who speaks and seeks the truth is Rahm's mortal enemy.

Why does Rahm run from the taxpayers at the conclusion of these well planned propaganda spin sessions where he has announced over 2 billion in spending initiatives with money he claims NOT to have in the first fucking place?

*Stay on script. Keep 'em guessing. Plausible deniability is key. Tell 'em what they wanna hear then fuck 'em all in the ass. Never directly address public safety concerns other than "We need more gun laws" and "It's for our children."*

Don't you people GET IT?

Rahm was and is saying, "Fuck you and your kids" to the people who pay the freight to make this city go.

He shows where his shriveled, mummified little heart is by keeping his meeting calendar crammed full of people from the Gold Coast and North Shore cocktail party and big money political fundraiser circuit.

He is safeguarding their interests in this city and shirking the taxpayers as churls fit only to pay the fees, fines, jackpots and other "Hahgotchomoney!" punitive revenue collection schemes he has put in place.

The taxpayer is getting nothing but pick-pocketed and walked backwards while the best of every fucking thing is being lavished on the Shitbirds and these hollow bastards like Rauner and Msall who are licking their chops to carve this city up.

"Rahm's Ride Along"

Shit... Who, is REALLY being taken for a ride here?

Oh yeah... Almost forgot...

*It's The Police who are the problem here in Chicago. We must "fix" them before we do anything else.*

Never you mind the grinning skeletons piled in the corner or these West and South Side death cults and the criminal political/media apparatus operating with impunity.

QUESTION?

Will CPD have to pick up the two homicides that happened at 56th & Neenah even though the bodies were dumped and burned in Palos and the crime was investigated and cleared by the Cook County Sheriff?

Even though this is an "inside the residence" crime it will drive the CPD homicide count onward and upward.

I have a solution, first acknowledge that there is a problem. Then put the blame for the problem, accept responsibility for the problm, and then attempt to get solutions for the problem and maybe then someone will finally start running this city like the city it once was. But a lack of balls in the administration and poltical suicide in blaming someone especially blacks for black crime or hispancs for hispanic crime will always keep the crime rate rising.the only reason jj hasn't been in the apotlight its bc the police hqve been doing everything right. Believe me if there is reason to blame someone, jj knows how to do it and according to him its always the police and the white man's fault. We have no critics right now, even our harshest critics are quiet bc they don't want to put blame where it belongs. Two more homicides and we are dead even with the homicide count of 2009.

Roll call usually doesn't start until 20 to 30 minutes after start time. Slips must be burned for an hour minimum but officers must start their tour right away?!?! So where does the other half of an hour go? Management wants more activity. They are so desperate that they came up with parking ticket missions and traffic citation missions. Didn't help. Rahm, dear, leave the police detail at home; you're going out on the town! Let's have you start your evening adventure at the Belmont Red Line stop on a Saturday night at, oh, let's say 2 a.m. Make sure you take the el down from your well-guarded enclave/hidey-hole. From the station, take a nice slow stroll east to Clark. Be sure to avoid the brawling groups of trannies and other assorted colorful characters. Hang out in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot for a good half hour. No hiding now! Take a good long look around. You may see your friend Alderman Tunney - wave and say hello! (you won't; he's hiding at home because he knows the neighborhood has gone to complete shit at that hour) Now you can choose your own adventure: either head north on Clark, or saunter east to Broadway, and then head north. You can't make a bad decision; either way, you're bound to encounter some lively early-morning robberies and/or beatings. The city is such a stitch at night, isn't it? Never a dull moment. Let's have you end your invigorating tour of the north side in Uptown - your "Entertainment District"! Hang out by the Wilson stop. Be sure and hit up those bangers, drunks, crackheads and general thugs for votes; they're your base, too! Watch out for gunfire. They're pretty indiscriminate about where they shoot, little scamps. Now walk home on Wilson.

minus 10 points for running at any time

+5 if you manage to grab a tranny's weave before they grab your phone

+10 if you call 911 and get a live person

+50 if police can get to you within an hour

+100 if you make it home in one piece with all your personal belongings

Thanks for taking the time to see how the rest of us live, fucking asshole.

Rahm doesn't know anything about the real world. It's all Hollywood to him.

Lol. This would be like a Mayor frogger game. From the Belmont Red line to the Police station on Addison. What is your best route clark North? If you are a good fighter, and runner, or Halsted North if you don't care about keeping your cell phone and wallet lol.

We need more people like you in our department. People that are positive, proactive and listen well to directives given by their superior officers. I don't know you, but I know this- you will make a good supervisor. Welcome to the management rank of our proud department.

If most of you blue shirts had one tenth of the attitude and aptitude of the above officer your life would change significantly. But you would rather complain, be bitter and hostile. Take your pick.

Uhh Yea, the post you were responding to was 1000% sarcasm. I'm just trying to determine if your post was a sarcastic post in response to the first one or you are soft.

Rahm and mccarthy driving around in 004 couple of nights ago. Heines delivery driver shot multiple times. Sgt took slips from several p.o.'s who were 10 minutes late. Days denied no contact horrible representation crappy equipment can be few things that may piss off a police officer.

Waaaaaaaaah! I have to be on time, how unfair.STFU!

Takes years to get the sleeves removed. Is a long tedious process and takes many treatments.
Army is doing it only for new enlistees, not for current members

Learn to read

Serving soldiers who were recruited under the current policy would be grandfathered and allowed to keep their tattoos as long as they do not contain any racist, sexist, or extremist words or symbolism.
The incoming policy will prevent new soldiers who have tattoos that reach below their elbow or their knee or above their neckline from enlisting.
Community colleges offer a class on reading comprehension. I would worry more about that then tatoos

That is why I am taking a proactive approach. I signed up for the Sergeant's test. Now, all I have to do is get promoted to Sergeant and I will get Sergeant's pay. I am a doer, I take a proactive approach, and I have positive attitude. I already bought a Management book at Barnes and Noble. And, because I have a positive attitude, I already bought my Sergeant's uniform. You guys just have to learn to lift yourselves up by your bootstraps. All of this means that my contract is settled.

First of all the original poster is getting old...

Second of all the 2nd poster has to be a mush. Positive, proactive and listen. Sounds good. If you really are the police, you must have a great job in some unit where the equipment works and you have your own car. How exactly would my life change if I was positive, proactive and listen??

Rahm likes kids. He uses them all the time. They work for free and public school teachers like him coming to their schools because it gets them out of the classroom. Less work for the teachers. He wouldn't use the kids at his children's U of C school, where the campus is closed and guarded by U of C police officers. He likes police officers too..........

Off topic, for any 019 reader:

Seems to me that the only thing that is more difficult to ascertain, than a simple officer headcount, is the demographics of crime in 019.

Thoughts? Why do so many of these robberies include a severe beating without resistance and minimal loot?

Is it really just texting drunks?

I guess the civil rights division/community prosecutions bureau is n/a West of Halsted?

As a non-"lib" resident who appreciates everything the undermanned cops in 019 do, but walks around assuming a bulls eye on my back, really, just asking.

How powerful is the reality distortion field when attempting to police 019?

Repeat the above for 20 to 40 years to arrive at the present era and you've summed up the one car clown funeral that CPD has been allowed to decay to...

Every man for himself.
Every man to his conscience
and to his God.

The Devil to his very own, of which there are many in Chicago.

The decent man doesn't have a prayer in this town.

The Policeman has no friends or allies of note and stands alone.

The grandchildren will ask, "Who were these Policemen and how come they don't exist anymore?"

Perhaps the grandchildren of Rahm, Rauner, Msall et al., along with the spawn of the Catered To Constituents might have the answer...

Chicago is the Flying Dutchman of municipal governance...

Amen.

I'm going on 12 years in and I had not heard anything like this...not grandfathering in tats. Secondly, their just returning to how it was prior to the wars. Before we invaded Iraq, we were not allowed to get any new tattoos that would show in our short sleeve dress uniform. They also dropped education and criminal history standards but reversed both of them in time for the drawdown.

He can go to 016 and wait with 4-12 coppers after roll call in the parking lot cause their are NO cars. Nope, no cars available. The night of 4 shootings, 8 coppers waiting in the lot at 2130 hrs without a vehicle to use. Not only is this an issue of lack of police coverage but what about a safety issue? Hmmmmm? Hello FOP unit rep. how bout filing a safety grievance every day their are no cars available? Of course this would be everyday. The commander won't say anything cause he'll get launched like McNaughtondidwhen he asked for more manpower. This dept. is done people, get out when you can.
