Fake McCarthy

From the comment section, we found this:
  • Hey SCC! Ask Gary were his gang teams were while this was all happening! McStupid had a hard on for some dude who created a fake face book page. Delve into this a little more. I'm sure you may have some other commentors on this
It seems there is a "confidential arrest" floating around the system where someone created a "fake" Facebook account for Garry McCarthy, something along the lines of the "twitter" account created during the mayoral election that had a fake Rahm Emanuel doing silly updates across the city and outlining ridiculous positions he would take if he got elected.

Does anyone know if they're pushing for a "false personation" charge?

Shit... The "fake" would do a better job than the real one!

False personation?
How the fuck so?

Hurt feelings?
Boo-Fucking-Hoo!

As a poster said on another thread, "If you're looking for sympathy, it can be found in the dictionary between shit and syphilis."

Smells like free speech overreach.

"Sticks and stones..."

A real Policeman's feelings are hurt every fucking time he parks his ass in a chair at roll call.

Hopefully Garry gets his ass torn off for false arrest then gets hung on the horns of a 1983...

They're keeping shit hush-hush for that very reason.

No worries... The only ones who will get hurt are the coppers roped into this nonsense...

Betcha somebody signed the "complaint" for McHamHead too...

I would love to see this one explained.... Unless there is a federal or obscure illinois law, sounds like a 1st amendment violation...... What a dick his ass was drunk at a social gathering of the 100 club

The only one guilty of false personation is McEgo himself.

WARNING SIGNS?

They ignored the Navy Yard shooter warning signs too didn't they?

He shot out tires and others shoot out street lights I guess.

What could possibly be the harm in creating a fake Facebook page? Could anything more idiotic be posted than what this jagoff is really doing?

Did this Facebook character go the whole McCarthy route?

Because it's not truly false personation without mimicking the Bud Light swillin', streetlight-shootin', spouse abusin', St. Sabina panderin', Constitution ignorin', crime scene tramplin' aspects of our wet-brained Stupidintendent.

Besides, the most common definitions of "False Personation" make mention of the following:

'False personation acts to diminish the dignity, reputation, and economic well-being of the individual being impersonated.'

I beg to differ that McCarthy can be harmed any further when it comes to his dignity and reputation - he's done a perfectly fine job of obliterating (that's for you, Gary) these personal traits well before arriving in ChiRaq. As for his whole economic well-being? $260,004 a year regardless of how piss-poor he performs ain't too shabby. No harm done unless the checks start bouncing.

Sounds like someone's skin is wearing thin.

If this is true, it's the death knell for McStreetlights. He just gave Rahm the perfect excuse to fire him.

The public and media are already growing tired of his act.

If he just arrested someone for exercising their first amendment right to free speech and/or artistic expression (a parody of him) then he's done.

It reinforces all the stereotypes about him as a hot-headed loose cannon with thin skin who is trampling on people's rights rather than protecting them.

That might be tolerated if crime really was down... but it's not.

People are dying in the streets at record rates while he's dicking around with personal vendettas and misusing his power all because of... Facebook?!?!

The optics on this are beyond a nightmare for good old GMac if true.

Is McFarley even a police officer? Isn't he technically just a figure head? (A poor one at that) Can you get in trouble for impersonating a drunk idiot?

This out to be interesting when played out. The guy will probably get a few million from the 1983, 1st amend, 4th amend etc lawsuits.

Investigators create fake facebook pages all of the time. It is a way to get around privacy controls to investigate individuals. No law against it. you can even use someone elses name and photo if you want.

Is Rahm going to finally admit that he made a mistake with McCarthy. Even the Newark mayor(Corrie Brooks)???? Could see that McCarthy was in way over his head and made a change. We need a REAL law enforcement officer to come in here and try to right this ship. Enough is enough already.

Since when does the mayor need an excuse to fire the police superintendent?

He's a bargain. Before him Daley was paying $300,000 for the same thing

Since he fired Brizard. Can't admit he made TWO huge hiring mistakes, especially in light of Amer Ahmad, the comptroller, being indicted...

This is one lawsuit I wouldn't mind seeing the City have to pay out big time. McPetty sure has a lot of free time on his hands, to concern himself with something this stupid and order an arrest on it.
I honestly feel sorry for whoever it was that had to effect the arrest.

Rahm and mccarthy driving around in 004 last night. Heines delivery driver shot multiple times. Sgt took slips from several p.o.'s who were 10 minutes late. Roll call usually doesn't start until 20 to 30 minutes after start time. Slips must be burned for an hour minimum but officers must start their tour right away?!?! So where does the other half of an hour go? Management wants more activity. They are so desperate that they came up with parking ticket missions and traffic citation missions. Didn't help. Days denied no contact horrible representation crappy equipment can be few things that may piss off a police officer.

I almost died laughing when I heard that "tiny dancer" went on a ride-a-long with Garry this week. Rham is always on a ride-a-long considering the amount of security he's surrounded by.

People need to wake and smell the stuff surrounding our "officials."
