Rahm Loses the X-Games

  • It’s Rio deja vu all over again. Chicago has lost its bid to host the summer X Games, ESPN’s made-for-TV extreme sports competition.
ESPN announced Wednesday that Austin, Texas will host the summer X Games for four years beginning in 2014. The four finalists were Chicago, Charlotte, N.C., Austin and Detroit.

The summer X Games, which have been held in Los Angeles since 2003, will move next spring to the Circuit of The Americas, a 1,500-acre racetrack and sports complex in the Texas capital.

  • Chicago was vying to snare the high-profile X Games, which would have brought about $50 million in economic impact to Chicago per year, according to a recent study. The games, held over four days, were set to take place in the United Center and on its adjacent parking lots.
Bummer - Rahm follows Shortshanks' footsteps once again.

Hopefully Rahm draws another parallel from Shortshanks.
Shortshanks losing the Olympics was the beginning of the end for him. Hopefully this will be the same for our little Napoleon!

Moody's just lowered Chicago's credit rating three notches, citing continued growth in unfunded pension liabilities and increased cost of policing to combat violence.

I'm on furlough, nope will not work vri, deal with the animals enough, (not criticizing other coppers who need the money),
Just praying all coppers working come home safe and injury free to the most important thing in the world their families! Another thing a young copper from 4 couple weeks ago was on lunch, got involved with a foot chase with some animal for a bag, now his whole life twisted,as his leg bent the wrong way during struggle, much surgery months of rehab. Please think before you bother to chase foot or vehicle anyone, they are not going to jail in the most corrupt court system in crook county.
Please back each other up, this is the most important thing to do, no matter if its a simple bullshit alarm call, the animal may be laying for you!

27 year vet retiring next year God willing!

He's got to be disappointed. He was really looking forward to extreme ballet skateboard competition. The "Hold on to your iphone, while being xtremely Beaten by 40 Windy city ghetto Shitheads" exhibition promised to be a real doozie as well.

Why would anyone want to come to Chicago? It's like one of those old Vietnam movies with shots being fired from bushes and only big eyes staring out at you. That, and the feeling of protection everyone has on Michigan Avenue. Oh ya, come visit Chicago!

"Chicago bond ratings slashed by Moody's"....headline in Trib. Once Tiny prances out of town he will have left the city in shambles. Illinois is the worst rated in the country. This isn't just talk, it's real money. For those who think these ratings downgrades are just hyperbole watch the last of the money swirl down the toilet on the last flush.

X Games = Have all (50) aldermen in a room together at which time let them know one of them is wearing a wire. Now that would be fun to watch with a bowl of popcorn. Let the games begin!

Rahm will think that it's not because he has let the CPD go to hell manpower wise and killed off all the best leadership and because he brought in this fool from NYC.

No, it's because the news got out about the killings and other bad things.

Rahm will try to put the best spin on all this no matter how many have to die including police officers.

Chicago credit rating downgraded by Moody's and Detroit filed for Ch. 9 Bankruptcy today. Largest U.S. city in history to do so--until Chicago pulls the plug that is.

Besides the bangers and panhandler gauntlet getting to the Center, the required contracted services of insider businesses whether needed or not and excess fees, taxes, food costs and such for those to attend such function. This is in addition to the proper "respect" to be extended to myriad of politicos.
