"Reverends' " Brainstorm

  • Local activists want Congress to pass a law requiring gun and ammunition manufacturers to imprint barcodes on bullets.

They believe it would be an effective way to use technology to reduce incidents of violent crime.

Members of the clergy and community leaders gathered at the Westside Baptist Ministers Conference to present their suggestion. They say barcode imprints would make it easier for law enforcement officials to track the source of bullets used in violent crimes and could also help lead to the arrest of criminals.

"We think this solution will help solve some of these crimes that exist in the city of Chicago and across the country," said Calvin "Omar" Johnson, Workship Coalition founder.

The clergy members say they plan to work with their congressmen to draft legislation on this issue.

Prediction: It never gets out of committee in DC, and if it ever came here....oh wait, we already buy all of our ammo away from this unconstitutional backwater.

Hmmmm......how bout placing a barcode on every gangbanger thats a member of their storefront churches. That way when these church going gang members purchase ammunition, pistols and assault rifles, their own personal barcode is scanned on said items. Problem solved. The appropiate gang members can be effectively traced, arrested and charged when they get caught trying to thin the herd. These idiots have to much time on their hands. Start charging them for water, assess their property tax with the mulitiplier we get assessed with, stop paying them with our tax money to sell agendas, rahm got his 7.5 hr school day, pulling that bullshit. Its funny how these so called reverends have a church on just about every storefront, in certain communities, and these communities seem to be the least G-d fearing and respectful of LIFE. Yet the MSM never calls them up on it.

Give it a rest, revs. Until you address the real problem, which is babies having babies and very little parenting being done at ANY level, the violence won't end.

As I drove down a west side street the other day I counted 19 storefront churches within a 12 block distance. 19!!! These reverends are the biggest PIMPS in the community! They receive tax exemptions, and live better than you and I who "WORK" for a living. With that many churches in a small geographical area there must be an awful lot of God loving people, right? So why all the crime?

Every member of those churches are the same criminals we deal with on a daily basis. (some of the reverends are ex-cons as well) HYPOCRITES I say. Maybe the reverends should stay out of politics and focus on their stray flocks?

Wow. This is the best they could come up with. Hell, lets give them gold stars, fit right in. I guess taking responsibility for your actions is just crazy talk. None of these MB (make believe) Reverends are willing to stand up and say what is wrong their community. They just want to blame other things instead of actually admitting the violence behavior within their community. As long as they want to pretend that it isn't true nothing will change. Black people will continue to victimize each other.

Watch Idiocracy where they barcode everyone's wrist for identification.

Idiocracy is supposed to take place 500 years from now when America is really dumbed down.

If you watch it, you will swear that it is Chicago today - especially the hospital scene, the court room scene ("great attorneys"), the escape from County jail and Costco - where you can get your Law degree.

I swear some people can make up the most outrageous fantasy, and because of what ever group, congregation, or social class they belong to, it suddenly is entertained as a good idea. My bullets already have a corp counsel, states attorney and a federal prosecutor attached to each one of them, I think that's enough

Yeah -- church, church, vacant lot, chicken place, church, vacant lot, nail parlor that also sells ringtones, vacant lot, vacant lot, and the inevitable currency exchange or Payday Loan holding down the corner. Liquor store across the street, and the sequence starts again...

If one rev isn't pulling in enough, another one will come in and piggyback with him. I know one of these places that originally had a black rev and now has added an "Hispanic" rev and his wife to try to boost the take.

It's just a business for people who don't have any skills other than filling out government grant forms and 501c3s and stuff. Anyone can read from a Bible at the top of their lungs and count money.

We are in a worsening depression. Common sense would tell you that there has got to be an upper limit on how much cash these places can extract from the credulous poor to pay for one man's fine suits and gleaming, heavy sedan with all the options -- but they just keep multiplying.

I don't get it.

Oh -- I don't know what the city zoning ordinance is about turning your house into a church that draws large numbers of people, but I see some of these operations in single-family homes, right next to normal people who want to rest, not listen to electric organs and yelling and have the whole block triple-parked.

I feel sorry for the poor old people who don't have enough for themselves, who would give money to someone like this instead of taking care of their medication or heat, electric, etc. As it is, you know how they often hold up the good-for-nothing side of the family when they really shouldn't.

They are often the last generation who worked at a job and put money in a bank, and there are 150 people after that little bit that's left for them to try to survive on.

A rev is just another burden on them. No decent person could take a penny here. I think that says it all.

Mile after mile, it's been like the end of the world on those stretches since 1968. Bombed-out territory. "Urban prairie." The only thing that makes it much worse is a cold rain.

God bless all here, and stay safe.

It's no one's damn business who buys a firearm or ammo except the purchaser. If and only if that person commits some criminal act should they be prosecuted (and I'm talking about something like rape, murder, robbery... not some bullshit thing like owning a gun with a front grip or a 30 clip)...
