Cop, Paramedic, Clerk Injured

  • A scuffle at a West Side store resulted in a police officer, paramedic and store clerk being injured, officials said.

The incident began at 11:37 a.m. when Chicago police were called to the 600 block of South Sacramento Boulevard to conduct a well-being check after someone reported a person bleeding inside, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs [...].

In addition to police, Chicago Fire Department paramedics responded, according to police and Chicago Fire Department spokesman [...].

Officials said a scuffle broke out and resulted in minor injuries to a police officer, paramedic and clerk, police said. Police did not know what led up to the scuffle.

A person was taken into custody after they were subdued by a police officer using a Taser, police said.
Hopefully, no one seriously hurt, but first responders from both sides of the public safety arena injured trying to help an ungrateful populace.

SCC thank you for being here for us. Thank you for publishing our rants. Thank you for exposing the truth. Thank you for letting our voices be heard. We used to have Ira's or Mike's now we have you.

Tasers must be taken everywhere...what's next, will they be issued to CFD personnel as well?

They conveniently omitted the fact that the asshole tried disarming the officer of the AR15 strapped around his neck. To the point where deadly force wouldve been justified had the officer decided to deploy his sidearm instead of his asp and fists when Pookie attempted to wrestle it away to the point the officer's wrist is fucked up bad. Aforementioned events captured on store security video.

I fully expect such omission on the part of the lamestream media, but inquiring minds want to know if our people even mentioned this fact when they submitted theIr statements to the news desk.

Worst part is they think this asshole will eventually be RWOCd for...wait for it...psychiatric reasons. Another mutt may "beat da case" because he ain't right in the head.

Start dropping these fucking savages when the opportunity presents itself before they get another chance to hurt or kill one of us. Glad you walked away with minimal injury, officer.

The zones in 011 are terrible for officer safety, and the district is constantly in a back log because Zone cars cant leave their beat or answer jobs. Thanks Garry.

In 011 last night 2 P/Os were injured and went to the hospital and will be out for a while after some asshole decided he didn't want to go to jail. While that was happening, 2 more P/Os had to wrestle another asshole who wanted to fight while the neighborhood poured out to assist said asshole. Then as some P/Os were attempting to arrest another asshole who beat the hell out of a man after a car accident, the neighborhood poured out and began throwing bricks at the P/Os. But don't worry, according to the XO in 011, crime is being pushed out of the zone, we are not shorthanded, the backlogs don't really exist and this new "strategy" is really working. How many TRRs and IODs were done on the watches in 011 yesterday? Guess that doesn't fucking matter either.

I can almost understand these doped up animals going after the cops because they don't fear us, but the Fire Paramedics are the very folks who are there to save lives.

Thanks to a certain(Uber Liberal) 3rd watch Sgt, who made it clear to PO's and other pissed off white shirts that she was giving them no choice in the matter. Way to look out for the troops, Sarge!

I'm sick and tired of seeing these Rambo wannabes carrying their rifles everywhere. When it comes time to go hands on, you're absolutely useless. There is definitely a time and place for the long guns...a mental disturbance is not one of them

Oh, and the sad part of the matter is that both of these stores are across the
street from Jensen Elementary School and the students frequent both of the stores, and so does the gang-banger crowd.

I once had someone tell me that a tiny fence he was putting up would be a "psychological barrier." I replied that it wouldn't work on people with no brains.

Same thing here.

Lack of man power had nothing to do with this ! I'f you had a hundred cops on the scene , the results would be the same. Crazies tend to live in their own reality and dont see numbers , but rather escape. Same could be said about criminals. Criminals will pull the trigger with one or several officers on scene. This is called fight or flight . Forest Gump's mom was right . Every job you get is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you get. You need to realize that crack babies have come to age and they are the "super assailant" . They have no fear or remorse for the outcome of their actions. They tend to act like a wild animal and rely on instict instead of common sense. After all, what do I know? They called me mad in Vienna !

EXCELLENT point!!! Truer words were never spoken. Lack of manpower is exactly why I left my former employer. Got to the point where officer safety was jeopordized. Being a command level staff member, I tried to explain the potential danger to the political hacks I reported to. Fell on deaf ears, so I told 'em to pound sand as I refused to play their political game when it was only a matter of time 'til an ofcr was hurt/killed due to manpower shortage. Several other ofcrs also left since it appeared that money was more important to the hacks than ofcr/public safety. This is exactly what is going to happen in Shitcago. What will it take 'til the residents of the city demand more police protection? Does an officer have to die due to the craziness on the streets and the severe manpower shortage?

--------------
With the sling wrapped around part of one's body it is something else that can be grabbed and get yanked around with when in close quarters.

Glad he came out of it OK though. Perhaps an opportunity to learn something important that did not cost him his life.

Watch for more "not right in the head" because that is the only way they can get welfare now. The key word also is "he is not right in the head."
They also can assault cops and get away with it. Obviously, the department needs up to date training for the 21st century and dropping "them" at every opportunity is not the solution. And, by the way who is "they?"

If you had enough manpower, the carbine would be good for overwatch to protect the entry officers, if you had enough manpower.

Dude tried his crazy jail cell act, but it didn't work. He said he wasn't going to court. The Lt said he was. Four sgts went in and made it happen. Dude got his 2nd rude awakening upon his arrival at county. His day wasn't going the way he thought it would.

The shopkeeper is intubated and will require complete facial reconstruction. The video is horrific. Savage isn't even close.

The store clerk is a cousin of a very good friend of mine. He is at mt Sinai hospital icu and is not going to make it. Not only did he break every bone in his face, he hit him so hard to the face that the glasses the clerk was wearing went into his face and he lost an eye. I pray for the family of the clerk. My friend and her immediate family are some of the nicest and most genuine people around.
