Wisconsin Concealed Carry

  • Wisconsin's concealed carry law isn't even a month old, but thousands of your friends and neighbors already have permission to pack heat and they're buying up the hardware to do it.

Wisconsin became the 49th state to allow residents to carry concealed weapons this month. Questions about liability still linger, but gun sales have increased across the state and the state Justice Department has been deluged with so many permit requests it's already scrambling to keep up.

A long time coming. And as crime spirals here, maybe we'll see it in our lifetimes.

They don't need guns for deer anymore.
The WI. DNR has so mismanaged the deer herd that your chances of seeing a predator, 2 or 4 legged, is much better. I'm. Not sure if this is a result of insurance company contributions to corupt polititions, anti-hunters in offfice, incompetence or pure stupidity.
I have hunted north central WI. For the past 15 yrs and am finnaly disgusted.
I will vote w/ my wallet next year and not buy the 160.00 tag or spend my money in the local businesses.

Gov Potatohead will never allow CC as long as he is governor. Even Rham doesn't want it. They ALL have bodyguards, so they don't feel our need. Furthermore, the legislative people, including the aldercreatures are allowed, so they don't care. The criminal element don't obey the laws, only the law abiding citizens do. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE SO MUCH CRIME!!!

The Brady Campaign must be beside themselves. CCW law passes, and 44k people apply. Brady Campaign does something, and maybe 44 people inquire.

This is what winning looks like.

Politicians and connected Democrats don't have to worry about getting victimized by Thugs in this state. All of these assholes are either "packing" or have lap dog body guards to protect them and their families. The rest of us are just bait for the predators roaming our streets. Every decent person in Illinois should have the right to arm themselves to at least have a fighting chance to survive in this cesspool called Chicago.

If a truly independent and honest US Attorney were ever to take office one has to believe that the entire state, city and Cook County governments would be prosecuted under RICO.

Unfortunately with the puppet in the White House that ain't gonna happen.

I have mixed emotions about granting license for citizens to carry firearms. We take for granted that the licensee will have the same training, and same good judgement, as an experienced police officer. I have seen citizens go totally crazy over traffic issues. No Illinois Judge can reasonably convict a law-abiding-citizen of this State for carrying concealed here, it it is fully Legal in the rest of the States in the Country. Hopefully the Judges will fine anyone caught who has no Criminal Record a one dollar fine, and that will be it, till this State exiles from Communism and joins the rest of the Country. hopefully the Governor and the Judges will be sued for punative damages also, if the offending Law-Abider is injured or killed while being unable to defend himself fully. Remember, Illinois IS a Communist State, and the U.S. IS a Communist Country now, since it is run and lead by the Democommunist Party.

Even once it becomes legal it can still be effectively illegal. In LA county you can't get a CCW unless you give a nice big bribe, err campaign contribution to the local sheriff.

If you do manage to get a CCW law passed make sure you have it run from the state level.

Just because every other State in the Union has enacted concealed carry doesn't mean we should do it.

The coincidence that violent crime against innocent citizens has sharply decreased in 98% of the States and there has been no "Wild West" scenarios playing out in those States does not mean that concealed carry works.

We, in Illinois, are not mindless lemmings waiting to be led of the cliff by a bunch of misguided, delusional gun nuts carrying on like the bearing arms is some sort of right. These wackos act like their John Wayne, gun-toting shenanigans were guaranteed by some sort of Act of Congress or Constitutional Amendment or something. The keep spewing out their extremist BS citing their so-called "Rights". Any moron knows, if this nation's founding fathers and framers of our Constitution intended to guarantee us any so called "rights" they would have put in in writing and documented it somehow. They would have created an indisputable record of their intents and probably called it something like, oh I don't know, a "Bill of Rights" maybe.

Every sane person knows that the first Americans, having broken free from the oppressive yoke of a tyrannical government, shedding their blood to break the chains of subject and servitude, wanted to create a society where we would be totally dependent upon our government for the basic protection of life and liberty. No way would they have wanted the free citizen to be able to defend themselves against marauders or a government unchecked. It is obvious they would have wanted the only weapons and means to fight solely in the hands of politicians and the ruling class.

Really folks, get a clue! If all your friends wore safety belts while driving, quit smoking and ate a moderate diet high in fiber and low in saturated fat, would you run out and do it too??? Just because they all said it would improve your health and lengthen your life. Really?? You would be so gullible as to be swayed by empirical data and documented facts??

How strong is the denial you live in that you would even hazard to think that Rahm, Richie and Madigan are wrong and every one else is right? I mean honestly, do we not live in the safest, most fiscally sound State in the USA? Is illinois not governed by the most altruistic, personally sacrificing and ethically unimpeachable politicians alive today? Are we not the standard of excellence in honesty and integrity to which all others aspire to become?

Well, we owe it all to the likes of Richie and Rahm. So sit back, take a deep breath, put all those ridiculous notions out of your head and relax. Pay no attention to those other 49 States. Everything will be alright. Now shut up and drink the Kool-Aid!

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

BUT if you read the tiny tiny print at the bottom...."except illinois"

I love spending my money in ANY OTHER STATE that allows CCW. On my AZ/PA CCW combination I can carry in 40 states.Open OR concealed.

And no there were no issues in WI when I carried openly. Matter of fact the Kenosha county sheriffs guys were more than cool about it.Something you KNOW you wont see in Chicago.

Research "The Overwhelming Will of The People" doctrine.

Details exactly how Illinois will lose these NRA lawsuits.

After all there is DL reciprocity so why not CCW? If you dont want CCW in Illinois, then you also need to abolish out of state drivers licenses. Its the same principle.

There are 1,314,023 Valid FOID CARD HOLDERS IN ILLINOIS.
WE DEMAND CONCEALED CARRY AND THE RECOGNITION OF OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. IT WILL BE PRE EMPTIVE SO THAT THE COUNTRY OF CHICAGO CANNOT MAKE INANE GUN REGULATIONS THAT FURTHER RESTRICT AND/OR VIOLATE OUR RIGHTS.
With respect to the retired guy apprehensive about CCW,were you this apprehensive when you were in a bar that off duty(and armed) cops were drinking in?
With background checks, training and finger printing, the CCW permit has safeguards in the legislation.
AND it will conservatively generate 65 MILLION dollars for this state.

Gun owners are responsible law abiding people. I am one. This NEEDS TO PASS HERE. SOON!

Hmm the old wild west scenario. Funny! I went to Wyoming (the ACTUAL wild west) and carried both openly and concealed. Hell there are still hitching posts for horses outside some businesses. The ONLY restriction there is in WY is to check your gun with the Sheriff or Local police before going into a bar to drink.
There were no shoot outs, No "OK corral" incidents and nope the street was dry as a bone...not a drop of blood.
I support fully the fight for concealed carry in Illinois. It is a RIGHT that the politicians in this god forsaken state have violated for far too long. CCW has PROVEN to reduce crime. And no Officer, law abiding citizens carrying guns are NOT A THREAT TO YOU OR YOUR JOB so relax. What galls me no end is a person SWORN TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION is altogether too quick to want to violate it.
Illinois gun laws violate the 2nd,14th and 22nd(Illinois) amendment. Chicago Gun ORDINANCES further violate that right. NO WHERE in the CONSTITUTION does it say I can use my RIGHT if I pay some politician for the blessing to do so. And Officer, this isnt about the hardware and weaponry. Its about the RIGHT and the constant effort of the government(and that includes you)to restrict or squelch that right.
Understand that unless you can follow me around 24.7.365, I WILL be carrying a firearm to protect my self.
