No Openings - Again

For what we think is the third month out of four, no openings were posted across the city for transfer opportunities. It would seem that the Department has everything balanced exactly the way they want it for the time being and no one will be allowed to move.

Only ones moving will be the dics in areas 4 and 5. Wait till you hear Rahm boast that there are 200 more police officers being relocated to the south side to service his voting block.

Rumor has it 100 bid spot openings for Area 3 from the displaced areas 4 and 5. 200 to be moved to the south side areas.

That's 191 dics for 9 districts in area 3.

Once again the north side gets the shaft with no lube and the south side gets 200 more POs, or boots on the ground as McNutty puts it.

Rumor also has it that because there isn't enough room in areas 1 and 2 for the dics, they will be assigned to districts and given marked cars to patrol in when they are outside the districts or handling jobs.

Tact teams to inherit the spaces where the dics were in areas 4 and 5.

WHERES THE COST SAVINGS? Lil Mikey at the FOP being bullied around like a lamb in a lion's den!

This department will never recover from the egomaniac combo of Rahmbo and his surrogate, McGovernmentSponsoredRacism...

2 more years and im out of this circus..Thank God...

I feel horrible for the far North siders who were sent to 003, 004, 005, etc. because they are looking at those long commutes for some time to come. Mean while, the north side districts (generally have more seniority) are losing people through retirements and are getting no one to replace them. Look at how many down cars there are in 016,017, and 020 on any given night. These are populous areas and it only takes one semi-major event to deplete all the districts resources on any given night. They are playing a deadly game of roulette with the people who live in these areas lives as well as the POs working these areas.

Associated Press

SPRINGFIELD -- The Illinois Terrorism Task Force has awarded $3.4 million in grants to help emergency responder agencies get new radios.

State officials say the grants were funded using federal homeland security money that the state gets from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The money will help 156 agencies around the state comply with new federal regulations about their communications equipment. The regulations take effect Dec. 31, 2012.

Jonathan Monken, director of the state's emergency management agency, says complying with the federal rules was difficult for many agencies that are dealing with tight budgets.

The switch to new radios is intended to relieve congestion and create increased channel availability on public safety systems.

My guess is they are waiting for the realignment of the districts and closing of the 3 districts before openings will be posted

Since when has negotiation with the FLOP ever factored into any of Mayor Beetlejuice's plans? The dopes at Shitty Hall issue their decree and FLOP grieves it if they can. Negotiation doesn't factor into any of this Raccoon eyes bulldozer crap, since negotiation implies a dialogue, not a diatribe.

It is possible that the city will not post openings to anywhere other than the usual garden spots in 003, 004, 005, 006 and 007...

They're holding Coppers hostage to keep them from playing their seniority cards and bidding to districts close to home, etc...

A tacit admission that there are far fewer P.O.'s than what they've been admitting to...

The southside is well over staffed. The main problem is the bosses don't know how to handle the manpower they have. They are in raps every night because people dog out jobs. Don't kid yourself.
