Flyover Englewood
At first, we were hoping it was a helicopter gunship or strafing run. This sounds almost as good:
The state signed a deal Wednesday with the Norfolk and Southern Railway to build the long-awaited “Englewood Flyover” that would clear up delays on the Rock Island Metra line.
The $133 million project should begin this year and be completed in two to three years, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
"Flying over" sounds like a good idea. In fact it sounds so good, they ought to look into relocating every major street, highway and thoroughfare so it can pass directly over Englewood without stopping, passing Go, or collecting $200. Then they can look into doing the same thing with the west side.

Got tired of the mutts breaking in to the trains.
It's not because of back ups it's because of the billions of dollars worth of metchandise these beasts steal of the trains

But what will happen to the new "elite" CTA team that the idiot Carothers created? With a combined 10 arrests for the entire year, this "diverse" team is out to prove that you can't rob anyone on Englewoods trains! Well except on Sat-Sun cuz that's their RDO.
I think concrete walls concertina wire and landmines would be a cheaper option.
Has anyone in the area had to work with the NS Police to stop people from breaking into trains?

little birdie says thats not all ns has in store for englewood........notice theres a lot of demolished homes and buildings lately? empty lots?? take a guess....

Wow SCC when you said fly over I ran,keys in hand out to the tarmac and started up the B-52 and armed all the bombs....
then I read further... :(
