Just Nasty

And surprise surprise - another parolee charged:
  • A man on parole for armed robbery was charged Monday with beating and sexually abusing a 65-year-old man with a tree branch downtown.

Cortez Foster, 45, of the 1400 block of South Canal Street, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, armed robbery and aggravated battery, according to Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton.

Foster, who was serving a 20-year sentence at the Centralia Correctional Center for a 2000 armed robbery conviction before being paroled last May, is scheduled to appear in bond court today.

Twenty years, out in ten. Someone somewhere is going to have to work on some tightening of "truth in sentencing" laws.

And how is it that the newspapers were running with the victim was a homeless guy (as if that excused the particularly heinous nature of the crime), but now that it turns out to be some guy from Schiller Park, coverage suddenly drops into low gear? It couldn't have anything to do with this line that appeared in the original Sun Times story, then disappeared from on-line versions of the story shortly thereafter:
  • While Guerrero said there was no reason to believe the attack was racially motivated, he questioned what could drive someone to harm a homeless person in such a heinous way.
Things that make you go, "Hmmm."

Yeah Anita, a man brutally beaten and sodomized with a tree by a lifetime dangerous criminal out way way too early, is a moral victory versus if the victim would have had a legal concealed handgun and shot the scumbag.

I'd like to thank mayor daley for providing the proper environment for savages to prey on innocent victims, and governor quinn for letting them out early enough to prey on them some more.

Democrats. Tough on crime.

The offender has three convictions for robbery. He shouldn't have been on the street. Our system is broke. Blame this one on liberal policies and wanting to give this guy a chance to rehabilitate himself.

3-Month Nightmare Emerges in Rape Inquiry
By JAMES C. McKINLEY and ERICA GOODE

CLEVELAND, Tex. — A year ago, the 11-year-old girl who the police say was the victim of repeated gang rapes in this East Texas town was an outgoing honor roll student, brimming with enthusiasm, who went on hikes and planted trees with a youth group here.

“She has always been a really bubbly child,” said Brenda Myers, director of the Community and Children’s Impact Center, who worked with her. “She always had a smile on her face.”

But in October, just after starting sixth grade, the girl became withdrawn, Ms. Myers said, and in November, she stopped attending the center’s meetings.

What happened during those months is the subject of a criminal investigation that has sent waves of shock and sorrow through this impoverished town and has provoked anger across the nation.

The police say the girl was raped on at least six occasions, from Sept. 15 to Dec. 3. Nineteen boys and men, ages 14 to 27, have been charged in connection with the rapes, the most recent arrest last Wednesday.
---

Something is not right with the parents account of this, according to police, the parents never reported that anything was amiss, according to the parents, they reported the rape 3 days after they found out. Three days?

Something isn't right in society, I would actually not be surprised if this happened in Chicago. As it is I can scratch Cleveland, Texas off my list of retirement places.

Don't know the demographics of the victim except her father is named Juan and all 19 offenders are black.

Now why would something like this not make national news? An 11 year old girl gang raped by 19 men over a three month period? And she lives with both parents and they don't figure something is amiss,

Cleveland, Texas is near Houston. Not on my list of places to visit anytime soon. Or ever.

What's the problem? Quinn's a Illinois politician, all that matters are votes, no matter where they come from...you know sorta' like felons for felons.

I challenge anyone here from 001 for A/4 to tell me the last time an offender for a non-domestic violent CSA in downtown Chicago was NOT from the Pacific Garden mission, whether the old building on State or the new mission on Canal.

This shit has been going on for 20 years. And if I recall correctly, the Pacific Garden mission is basically the brainchild and baby of some North Shore churches.

Close this fucking atrocity down!

The problem is that cowardice is the norm. No one wants to call it like it is for fear of offending minorities.

Even the Chicago Code wimped out when the "cop nightmare," the dream we have of a weapon not working when confronting a bad guy, took place in Cabrini and the offender was white. Really? A white criminal in Cabrini Green? He would have been killed before he got inside.

There are precious few with the guts to call it like it is any more and the result is black offenders taking advantage of the situation.

MURDER IN BROAD DAYLIGHT IN HEART OF CITY -- "WILDING" CONTINUES

ROBBER PUSHES 68-YEAR-OLD WOMAN, AN INNOCENT BYSTANDER, DOWN STAIRS AT FULLERTON "L" STOP; VICTIM DIES

All for a lousy Iphone.

UPDATED 03/29/11 1:32 p.m.

"CHICAGO (CBS) – An elderly woman has died after an attack in broad daylight at the busy Fullerton Avenue ‘L’ stop, but she wasn’t even the intended target.

"As CBS 2’s Susanna Song reports, police say on Monday afternoon, the robber was trying to get away at the busy Red-Brown-Purple line stop, which is one of the system’s busiest.

"In the process, he pushed a 68-year-old woman who was standing at the top of the stairs leading back down from the ‘L’ platform, and left her critically injured.

"The woman was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and died sometime Tuesday, police said.

"The man had stolen a woman’s iPhone on a Chicago Transit Authority Brown Line train. He was pushing through the crowd to escape as the victim chased him.

"Police say he bumped the 68-year-old woman right as he got to the stairs, and knocked her down.

“She tumbled down, and...there was blood everywhere, and they weren’t sure if she was going to make it,” said DePaul student Ariane Ackerberg. “They said he just left her there and just kept running with the other lady’s phone.”

Mr. Mayor-Elect -- HELP!

Your predecessor lost control of even the high-rent central city area a long time ago. We're sure he didn't mention this to you when he was handing you the keys.

Downtown and the Near North Side need to be saturated with high-visibility uniformed police with dogs, shotguns, and carbines to stop the cell-phone "flash mobs" who commute in from the South and West Sides on public transit and terrorize the area, hundreds strong. The Loop is no longer safe even in the daytime. Mass arrests should be the order of the day.

...and what is Mayor Daley doing when he's not in China? Ramming through a billion-dollar bond issue for new airport runways the airlines don't even want, pushing $685 million for a 1940s-speed rail line to St. Louis, and another multi-billion-dollar redundant rail line to O'Hare.

Mayor Daley will be gone soon -- and WE NEED TO HIRE MORE POLICE -- NOW!

My Kid made me a cool Watchmen Pin like the one worn by the Comedian. (You know the smiley face with the blood on it.)

Maybe I should patrol the parks at night dressed as "Officer Old School", or "Captian Ass-Woopin."

With the right fabric I might look good in tights???

But Seriously, I still love this City, even with it's problems. Felt terrible about the Gentleman in the park, the Lady from the El made me want to cry. And I have seen just about everything.

I don't carry for myself anymore, I carry for everyone else. It didn't used to be this way.
