More "Transparency"

  • Congressman Danny Davis announced his agenda for reforming Chicago government Monday, pledging to stop the practice of what he called “overnight deals” made by executive decision if he’s elected mayor.

Davis didn’t mention Mayor Daley’s name. He also didn’t mention his mayoral opponents who include former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

But Davis made pointed references to Daley’s style, a day after the mayor surpassed his father’s tenure to become the longest-serving mayor of Chicago.

“We have faced scandal after scandal in this city,” Davis said, promising to back the city’s inspector general and ethics office in their oversight of city contracts. Davis criticized the role of political clout in awarding those contracts.

Transparency should involve a mirror being given to taxpayers so they can see who's poking them in the ass every time they open a tax bill or read about another clouted contract being given away to connected firms, because we highly doubt that Davis has any intention of doing anything but changing the players who get the contracts.

After so many years of scandal after scandal and after scandal and after 11 years as a Chicago Alderman and 13 years as a US Congressman from the same area and after receiving endorsement of Wallace "Gator" Bradley, and failing to refuse or repudiate that endorsement, finally, after all these long years, at 69 years of age does Danny Davis say the slightest peep about "scandal."

Danny, you gone. But never fear, you can keep all those contributions and you were just re-elected to Congress after all.

Thanks for noticing the scandals here in Chicago. It took nearly your whole life but better late than never.

I will not be casting my vote for Danny Davis. There are damn few left to choose from. Nothing but crooks, bums, liars and good for nothings. Typical Chicago election.

I was working in the HQs building when Harold won the mayor's office. A Black deputy openly stated, " now it is our turn". One of the results was one of the worst superintendents in history, Leroy. This is not to put Harold down, but to comment on the mentality that I still think exists. Whatever group gets into power is not all for reform, but all for rewarding their supporters and friends. I see by the candidates comments on the FOP website, none of the front line hopefuls are strong on letting go of residency. The only hope will be getting the law changed in Springfield and letting the FOP negotiate.

Tell that old Marxist to STFU and go away. He's noting but a shill and a fluffer for the perpetual underclass/resolute non-contributors, who by the way, ARE NOT FEELING ANY FINANCIAL PAIN from the DE-FUCKING-PRESSION this country is currently going through. Yes, we said it... D-E-P-R-E-S-S-I-O-N!

Davis and his ilk are constantly revolving their dentures about the middle class having to "tighten their belts" but won't say shit about untold billions wasted on government give-aways to multiple generations of resolute non-contributors just for breathing while the working Man is being chased down on the street by agents of government for more taxes and revenue?

"What's in YOUR wallet?" Is more than just a punchline... It's the real, funky-assed deal people!

What are we sayin'? *Face-Palm to self* The wet-eyed, Chicago liberal yellow-pinkies who now make up a comfortable majority, are enjoying this shit!

Shame on us for valuing the puritan principles of faith, a strong work ethic, education, common sense, respect for the law, the right of an upright man to defend himself and his property with maximum prejudice against those who seek to harm/deprive him whether in his home or as he goes about his business.

Respect for your fellow men and those things that belong to them and their right to enjoy the full fruits of their labors.

That in addition to the puritan (actually nigh near universal) disdain for the lazy, liars and those who live on the sweat of another man's brow.

A shit-talker's holiday may ensue but at least we have some principles we try to live by.

If that makes us conservative (among other things) then so be it.

Back to the marxist scalawag in question?

Danny Davis is full of shit. We dare any of his constituents to come up with anything meaningful that he has done over the last 40 years beside get a coat-tail ride and getting his marching orders from Daley Inc. to keep his constituents full of a perpetual victimhood mentality and the swollen, misguided sense of perpetual outrage and entitlement.

Stop dopin', drinkin', recklessly replicatin' and law-breakin' wipe the yellow-pinky bullshit from your eyes and stand on the rock of education and hard work...

*Face-Palm again*

Sorry. For a minute we thought we were in a place where people thought for themselves.

This is Chicago... Nuttin' to see here now move along.

What is an insult is that the jagoff, I mean ex-President should have some asshat like Davis say stupid shit like that.

So let me get this straight Congressman Davis, Clinton should not campaign and speak for someone that HE hired once in a senior post, in favor who? Just because you say so?

I think not. The scumbag commits a traffic violation in an all black neighborhood (Kedzie and Douglas Blvd.) at night and he immediately claims "racial profiling". Fuck Danny K. Davis.

While Meeks dropped out, he tried the same "race card" bullshit out at 115th and Michigan.

Is there even one non-Democrat running for mayor? Aside from a few with no name recognition whatsoever, I detest ALL of our "choices".
