"Person of Interest" Questioned

  • Chicago police Saturday night were questioning "a person of interest" in connection to the shooting that killed both veteran police Officer Michael Flisk and a former Chicago Housing Authority officer whose car had been burglarized, law enforcement sources told the Tribune.

The person, a 19-year-old parolee, lives across the Southeast Side alley from where former CHA officer Stephen Peters parked his prized Ford Mustang GT inside his mother's garage, the sources said Saturday.

We quote this attached article in a few of the posts that follow, but hopefully, this is some good news.

UPDATE: A bunch of rumors popping up in the comments.

Any copper "squeezing" anything in this current era will be given a long, bumpy and painful ride on the "j-fled special" with stops at the following points of interest.

376.

Corp. Counsel.

MCC.

Club Fed and other attractions.

We need the old 50's and 60's mentality back when it comes to these dogs targeting and hurting Policemen.

Just compel the wanted offender to dig a hole, fall into it and self expire, because CPD has put an expedited cancellation on an asshole's birth certificate.

Such would be serviceable by any sworn member and assisted by any right thinking private citizen should it be necessary.

Pretty please and the alderfool/runnin' dog rev'run mandated, Daley inc. endorsed "hug-a-thug" nonsense is an intentional impediment to effective Policing in Chicago.

That would be weis the inbred mutant who isn't worth a pimple on a police officer's ass.

This was cut and pasted from the firefighters site that I go to for some laughs from time to time.

Brothers and sisters of the C.P.D. please know that we mourn with you on the loss of your brother. The members of the C.F.D. know what each of you do on a daily basis and we support and appreciate your tireless efforts. Every firehouse in the city is your safe haven from the street, a cup of coffee, check on the game, check in at home. Please know that we will stand with you always and if you find yourself alone on the street call for us we will stand with you there also. Whatever you need to help you through this time just ask us we got you back.

Guys stop in if you get a chance. Nice place to stop for a bathroom break when needed. And if you need to talk to someone else other then the person in your car that is going thru the same shit that you are. stop in and have a talk. Our doors are NEVER close to our friends.

I asked the same thing in my north side district. Flags all flying high.

The answer: No engineers working on weekends and no one would authorize overtime to come in and lower the flags. They have the keys to unlock the pulleys on the flag poles.

Latest officer was killed on Friday and no one thought to lower the flags immediately. Officer Blake is not classified as LOD yet and none of the bosses authorized the AMFN to go out lowering the flags.

I think Daley calls it "shared sacrifice." We sacrifice while he shares.

With all this tragedy and yet in the 11 district are splitting up their cars so that someone can sit in the pod room. Not to mention that we are already short and have a few one man cars, no rapid cars and by the way we work in a shit hole. One should ask themselves, how many officers have to lose their lives in order for something drastic to be done. If people don't take a stand together nothing will be ever done. The only thing that can change things would be if an alderman or someone close to the mayor gets killed by a savage, maybe then this city will listen. The city obviously doesn't give a shit about he police. J-fled, you already know where that piece of shit stands.

It's all part of the j-fled and Daley Inc. plan...

Destroy CPD in order to "save" it...

Err... Sorry. We meant destroy CPD in order to remake it in it's entirety into the armed and wholly beholden paramilitary wing of Daley Inc.

(Possibly to be absorbed by the alderfool & runnin' dog rev'run cocked hat contract security service)

Which only partially explains every attempt to destroy, subvert or set the table to legally walk away from public safety pension and benefit obligations.

The current mindset of combating the Police instead of combating crime is a collateral effect of the 21 years of theft, neglect, criminal malfeasance and incompetence by Democratic elected officialdom. They're concerned because The Police aren't loyal kow-towers and ring kissers for the most part.

Too many independent thinkers in a kleptocratic, socialist nanny-state. "We must destroy them lest they infect the mindless with their free thinking ways."

Note: The democratic public officialdom has instituted an OIG puppet investigative entity to "investigate" them but only with their permission. They have gamed the legal system and with a knowing wink by a compliant media, no meaningful investigation into their misdeeds will be allowed to gain traction at the local level let alone garner any meaningful media attention.

Which means:

The Feds will have to be sufficiently interested which is a big "ain't happenin' podnah" since heaven and earth were moved to install "The Hollow Dude" aka "The Fakir of (chicago style) Fuckery" in the White House.

To wit:

Local Democratic Officialdom has four to (pray to God not) eight years to commit the crime of crimes and have the able assitance of local media to assist them in covering their tracks.

But:

It looks like The fakir is one and done so a lot of people are "retiring to spend more time with my family" or running running into the woods away from the scene of the train wreck they created.

Tea in China:

What does all this have to do with the ongoing tragedy of war having been declared on The Police by the Mayor, j-fled, the media and the public?

Everything.

All the pieces are there. But damnit we just can't seem to target what these dirty bastards end game could be but know for a fact that loss of control of the streets, loss of fear and respect for The Police and the overall loss of life and the loss of our precious comrades in arms was a price in other peoples blood Crime King Shorty, the alderfools, j-fled & the exempts and the media were willing to see paid.

What is the end game?

Are the lives of Policemen worth it?

What say ye shortshanks? j-fled? exempts?

Could it be you've actually outsmarted yourselves and now you have no answers other than to protect your own selfish interests?

And the people think Policemen are such awful, reprehensible beings with no redeeming human qualities?

Oh wait... That's exactly what Daley Inc. so wishes the people would believe.

Just more observations and rantings from another big, dumb, undereducated, unceasingly hostile for no reason, misanthropic, racist, overpaid, underworked, undertaxed CPD blueshirt.

God Love, Bless and have Mercy on our Dearly Departed.

We raise in their memory the libation of American Men and Heroes to strike a blow for Liberty. Two fingers of small batch, cask strength bourbon.

None for you, j-fled. Your name is a stink in the nostrils of honorable men. Your final place of rest will be a place of ridicule and mockery. Various creatures great and small will aimlessly sniff, lift a leg or squat in salute to you. May you run, sweat, shit and cry in your sleep at the thought. You too shorty.

Dispair and damnation to shorty, j-fled, et al. May all your ill gotten treasure putrify and decay right before your eyes.

May those directly and indirectly responsible taste justice at the hands of the upright and rightfully outraged.

Man, oh man.

Dad was Local #1, BSEIU -- Janitor's Union -- for decades, back when a janitor lived in his building and was on call 24 hours for virtually anything that came into someone's head. The janitor's wife was a completely unpaid secretary and assistant.

Chopping ice, hauling garbage (in a 55-gallon steel drum, on the back, down the stairs), shoveling coal in and cinders out, struggling to keep the steam heat coming in a Chicago January by sitting up all night hand-nursing a dangerous old heating plant that the owners wouldn't put any money into, doing carpentry and painting and plumbing and electrical work and any sort of repair -- and doing it right -- in between hand-push cutting grass and hand-trimming hedges and cleaning windows (can of Glass Wax, rag, painful arthritis) and hand-polishing brass door handles (can of Brasso, rag, painful arthritis) and doing well-being checks and investigating suspicious persons and doing death cleanups and holding people's mail over vacations and knowing that the emergency calls about "water pouring down the walls" in old Bernie's apartment were just Bernie having the DTs again.

...and this modern-type, obese s__tbag of a so-called "Engineer" -- even when half in the bag with holiday cheer -- won't bestir itself to lumber down its driveway out to its new SUV and drive over to the station for a minute, to turn a key and then soak up some free coffee and Danish while it recuperates from the terrible exertion.

Somehow I am not impressed.

Signed,

The Janitor's Kid

How about we push for a Vietnam wall-like memorial and put it smack in the middle of Daley plaza.

If we're going to idolized the name of the man that ran this city and is ultimately responsible for what goes on here - then we should also at least have the names of the fallen offices right out there for people to see what kind of job is being done - list them under the superintendent in charge at the time too.

Where's the Mayor - Where's the alderman? Where's the governor. Where's the precinct captains ? Where's the reverends? Where is everybody? Where's the focus.

You never let a crisis go to waste because it presents and opportunity someone once said recently!

Ahhh but those revenue generating tow trucks from the city pound are rolling tonight right?

I don't agree with what happened to him but you can hit a guy handcuffed to a wheelchair. The same people that were stopping people and locking them up before jfled are still doing it. The ones that rarely or never did are the ones out there not doing shit. Can you use the same tactics as before no? But you change and adapt. I just read the story in the Chicago Tribune. Well you are the idiot for trying to go through a railroad crossing. Let's see, first the bells ring and the red lights start flashing and then the gates come down and then idiots like you decide to go ahead and try to cross before the train goes through and WHAM you get hit. And then it's all the fault of the CTA, the city, gates and bells were working improperly.

Stupid people like you should be cited and must pay off the debt and costs of damaged property. Don't have the money? Then work it off by working for the CTA on your days off (pick up garbage, clean train cars, buses, train stations, etc....).

You are a real jerk. You cannot be a police officer and you must be a civilian that never served in the military because only a civilian without military experience would not understand the importance of the flags being lowered ASAP, regardles of the time of day, in an organization that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365days a year. Keys for the flag boxes should be kept in the W/C's office to be used in the absence of the building engineer. And, if it violates the building engineer's territorial lines, fuck them. And, fuck you asshole.

There are too many leaks from the detective division. Some detectives have very loose lips and tell their friends and their family. Word spreads quickly. Some people cannot shut up. Please let the investigation finish then spread the word.

Fortunately, there are no lock boxes on the flag poles in 011. I was able to lower our flags when I arrived at work the morning after. I just wish I had access to our mourning flag. I guess the engineer will raise it on Monday.

Since I am off the next 2... if someone sees the engineer, please ask if he would replace our "battlefield" tattered flags.

Thanks.

And what's with several police stations I've driven past (022 to name one) that don't have their flags at half mast? What a horrible and disgusting show of support from some of these units. Two coppers killed in a week, and the 3rd Watch Desk Sergeant in 022 (when called on Saturday, 27 Nov and asked about it) says "there's no one here to lower the flags". Blake was taken from us on Monday and it's now Saturday and the flags aren't down? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS???? How about grab a ladder or chair and go out there and lower them your fucking-self Sarge?!?!?!?! You make me fucking sick. Obviously a merit sergeant.

...okay sarge relax, an upset copper hit the truth by letting go on your district/watch. Now crawl back into your spot and wait for the next meritorious job you get.

Well they gave us all call box keys when I came on. Through the years I have seen what appeared to be recruit classes raising and lowering flags. Give them a key when they come out. I personally would rather have a copper raise and lower the flag for us. No one else cares about us but us! Stay safe...and no 99. Back everyone up whether you like them or not. And Thank You to the officer who included backing up Sergeants on the supervisor requests.

I hope there will soon be someone arrested for the execution of the two officers. I too thought when I read the morning paper and it stated that there was a person of interest being questioned,it was one of A-hole Quinn's early pardons. God help these families.

if the killers of any of our officers turns out to be another one of governor pat quinn's early releases, and immediate movement by illinois law enforcement officers for quinns impeachment should begin.

I Agree with you! However, by the time it took you to both rant and rave and call the station about this apparent lack of respect or lack of attention to detail for our fallen, you could have jumped up on that chair and rectified the situation yourself. On the topic of the flags... in 017 our flags were at full staff... the flagpoles have lockboxes, and you need some sort of special wrench to lower the flags... supposedly some city engineer is the only one with the tool to open it and lower the flag. I think it's despicable that the city doesn't think it's a priority, but that just goes to show you what they really think of the police...

No. This is an old wive's tale. Oddly enough, it stems from a movement by police wives, who demanded their husbands have partners after a particularly horrible period during which several police officers were killed. There was a letter of agreement for awhile, then the union let it fall by the wayside.

Maybe police SPOUSES (and toddlers are very telegenic, by the way) should march on the Hall and demand the same thing again.

Why doesn't everyone whining and crying on here go out and do your job. Stop using jfled as an excuse. Name me one person that was fired or suspended for doing his job. And don't bring up Cozzi. I don't agree with what happened to him but you can hit a guy handcuffed to a wheelchair. (8< snip)

11/28/2010 08:04:00 PM

And what was Officer Cozzi supposed to do to defend himself and subdue the unruly subject, give the shithead a nice big shot of Haldol?

If that ED was so busy that night they called for a CPD officer to control the unruly, disruptive shithead who was handcuffed to a wheelchair to get him out of ED personnels' way - spitting on nurses, Officer Cozzi and others, who did not know what awful diseases he could have been carrying - a tap on the shithead's head to subdue him was the only "prescription" Officer Cozzi could administer, short of finding a vacant room/bathroom/broom closet to stick the shithead in.
Free Bill Cozzi!

JFled, you have long outlived your usefulness. Leave now, you uncaring, soulless idiot. You are a disgrace to CPD, law enforcement, and life in general. And take take Masters Masters Masters with you, along with all the meritcloutorious morons you have installed in the upper ranks/exempt categories.

I mourn for all the CPD lives lost this year, and those that have happened during Jfled's reign of incompetence. May God grant them eternal rest, their families and loved ones solace and comfort, and the shitheads swift justice and eternal damnation.

May God grant all CPD Officers protection from all harm, and safe return to your families and loved ones each and every day. May God fulfill the need for full strength in the number of POs on the Chicago streets. May God prevent the senseless killings of CPD officers.
Sorry for the rant, SCC, I am upset about hearing "CPD officers killed" on the news so often.

-not a cop, just a CPD supporter.

As much as you would like it to be Blake's murder was not a LOD death. The flag doesn't get lowered for those that are not. If you really are military then you would understand this. The flags do not get lowered the mourning bands don't go on, until the order is issued. When that order is issued, all districts will comply. Being a holiday weekend, the bosses that issue this oreder are off until today. Hopefully this will be the first order of business. It sounds that Blake was your friend. Don't get all crazy when rules are followed. Not a line of duty death. He was our brother but that doesn't change the rules. So those of you counting deaths this year that is 5. FIVE names will be added to the wall in Washington DC. Not six.

The Governor must order US flags to go half mast, the Mayor must order City flags... obviously they are off for the weekend (sarcasm)... that is where the fault lies, not with the lowly desk sergeant... That being said, Friday or the flags should have been lowered, but the civilians and exempts were probably all on a day off without pay day... the city that doesn't work anymore

Early 70's, Wives and Toddler protest is no wives tale. 007 parking lot after Kaner was killed on 71st writing a report in a one man car. Arranged by C.O.P. It worked for a while (only 2 man cars) but then the powers that be found that if you broke up partners, put aggressive guys with dogs. Older officers with Margaret Mary's. They would scream for one man cars and they did.

I understand your angst abou the flags but you don't know how the makeup of the new stations goes. The flagpole is locked and the key is in the Building Engineer's office, locked up and the key is usually not in the W/C's office. We Desk Sgt's have beefed about this numerous times and still no remedy. Until General Services sends out the guy from the area to lower the flag, it aint happening.

The guy you lock up with the pistol today might be the guy that shoots a cop tomorrow. You owe it to the guy sitting next to you and your fellow officers to do your job.

When I came on (30 years ago) the flags were raised every morning and lowered at dusk by the lockup-keeper. There was no illumination of the flag in the old 007th District, so it came down before dark. The W/C and two or three P/O's from the desk would attend both the raising and lowering every day! As far as flying them at half mast, that comes in an order from HQ, which I asume came out today!

The Sergeant you are talking about is not merit, and he spoke the truth. I personally called the building engineer for 022, and was told that they cannot come out for this on a weekend, or after hours, as it is no longer approved for overtime.
Also, as the retired 20th Dist Sgt said, you cannot simply raise it yourself. The system works as he said. There is a wire cable inside these poles, not a rope, and it goes through a gear system inside it to prevent anyone from moving the flag.
We are as frustrated as you are, but your comments are misdirected.

It did and it stated the required approval of the office of the governor was received and thus the flags will be lowered.
