Bears Game

Even though football is one of the farthest things from our minds about now:
  • With Michael Vick playing like a Pro Bowl quarterback and leading Philadelphia to three straight victories and into sole possession of first place in the NFC East, the Eagles are suddenly looking like a Super Bowl contender.

The Chicago Bears have similarly won three games in a row and are also atop their division, but aren't widely considered an NFC power. A win over Philadelphia would go a long way in confirming their status as a top contender.

Eagles favored by 3.

Let's see...we have one quarterback who can't play (can't last a game without at least one interception) versus a quarterback who shouldn't be playing. He's a convicted felon that should NOT have EVER been allowed to play in the NFL again.

And people wonder why NFL popularity is plummeting.

Should be a close game---a real dog-fight, if you know what I mean.

After inputting all of the data and accumulated information bits, along with an analysis of all available injury quotients, psychological reference points and societal team stresses, I, Commander Bret, have a fairly reasonable belief that there will be a discernible increase in crowd related activity in the neighborhood surrounding the "Museum Campus".

I would also predict that two gangs, most probably known as the Jets and the Sharks, will dance and sing into theater history... oh, wait... no thats in a neighborhood further south, around the Arie Crown Theater.

These two gangs will be the Bears and Eagles who will be accused of many gang violations such as holding, interference, illegal use of the hands, illegal motion, late hits out of bounds, clipping, horse collar tackles and assorted illegal formation penalties.

Our crystal ball has determined that there is rarely, if ever, this kind of activity in this neighborhood unless large crowds are present inside of Soldier Field. I suggest that manpower be assigned to the area as seen appropriate, to vanquish the above described mayhem and keep the peace.

Of course, I also predict that if we just wait for the window of activity to expire, say about 6-8 hours after the kickoff of these violations, most of the criminality should return to the previous non-existent levels on their own.

I am joining the ranks that will not be watching the game. This convicted felon shouldn't be in the NFL.

People have become to complacent and forgiving in these matters. Stop complaining and do something about it. It's a small measure, but it's something.

Vick is a sociopathic scumbag. Never Never trust someone who is cruel to animals; they will do the same to you.

I just found my German Shepherd's Michael Vick chew toy under the hutch the other day. Appropriate timing, huh? The toy was a gift from my brother who found it online.

12:48, while I agree with you that Michael Vick shouldn't be playing, much less out of prison, I will tell you that the NFL is, by far, more popular than ever.

That is just the way it is.

I hate to be the "liberal" police officer here but he's a convicted Felon who served his time. His crime does not have a high recidivism rate, so it is doubtful he will do it again. His crime doesn't transfer over to other crimes or lead to more violent ones. I see were the hatred comes from, but come on, give the break, he paid his debt.

I still don't understand how animal cruelty rises to the level of a Federal crime worthy of 3 years in prison. Absolute nonsense.

And where does it say that convicted felons have a "right" to play in the NFL? They don't, and if the Commissioner of the NFL had any courage at all, he would have made an example of this piece of shit thug, Vick, and banned him for life from the league. The same goes for the thug that shot himself in the leg in a nightclub and is in prison right now, as well as any other player who is convicted of a felony.
